Great stay, super clean and staff were brilliant. Great location with plenty of great restaurants and pubs nearby. The rooftop restaurant is also great with an amazing view. Highly recommend staying here slightly out of the central city as it's easy to travel into central without staying in the manic bustle! Best of NYC!

Staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel is pretty new so everything was in perfect order, and the rooms were very clean. We also enjoyed the bar on the 11th floor of the hotel, great views! Room sizes are small but not cramped. This wasn't a concern/problem for us given we were out exploring the city and having a super big room wasn't on our requirements list.

Spacious room, great decor, large modern bathroom and comfy bed. The hotel bar/restaurant is really cool with good views. Complimentary coffee and full size fridge in the kitchenette. Great lighting and nice and quiet for sleeping. Very well presented throughout nice artwork. Nice and close to subway stop.

The Penny hotel is named after a chihuahua. Like the dog, the hotel rooms are small but with great personality. The space is intelligently arranged. It is ideal for a single traveler. My wife and I were very comfortable in the room. The hotel has 5 features that make it a great place to stay and definitely worth a return visit. First, it has comfortable beds. I can’t remember the number of times I’ve stayed in hotels with beds that were too soft and left me aching with back pain in the morning. The beds are on the firmer side. Second, the water pressure is good. The bath room could be bigger. I suggest bringing a pair of flip flops, because the sink is too small to wash our faces without getting the floor wet. Third, free wifi with no extra charges. I found the cellular signal a bit weak and unreliable. So wifi is definitely needed. Fourth, there are water dispensers on each floor, so bring a few reusable bottles. Fifth, the neighborhood is awesome. There are lots of restaurants and shops. It’s a great place to walk around.…

Very comfortable room with all the amenities. Our bed was up against the window wall, which was a bit tight for two adults. I will definitely spring for the larger room next time. Very pet friendly and we will be back. The rooftop bar was excellent and happy hour prices cannot be beat!

Loved staying here–everything was new, clean, cute and convenient. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodated and early check-in without issue. Bed was comfortable. One of the best NYC hotel experiences I have ever had!

The room is cozy and quiet. Great shower. Next time I’ll pick a room where I don’t have to climb over my partner to get out of bed, but there will be a next time. Neighborhood is so walkable and we were able to park on the street.

The staff are friendly The room is clean , comfortable and large enough for one person It’s easy access to the stations and main streets I like free water and free coffee ! I really recommend this hotel to solo tourist ,couple,family and your dogs!
