Great trip to Rugby Gardens was had by my fiance and I over New Year's. Really loved staying in Brooklyn vs. Manhattan as the pace is not so hectic. The B&B itself is very lovely and Mike & Sue were excellent hosts. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to visit NYC who wants to stay in a...

This was a delightful stay at a lovely historic home in Flatbush area of Brooklyn. I arrived late in the evening and Sue and Michael were waiting up for me to make me feel welcome and to give me the lay of the land. I love hisoric homes and this is a beauty! The resoration was nicely done and the...

My wife and I spent a weekend sharing the two rooms on the third floor with our son and his wife. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely furnished. The house is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed entertaining guests in the downstairs living room and on the lovely swing on the porch. The backyard is also a nice place to...

What a great stay my partner and I had this weekend. Rugby gardens is in one of the most beautiful parts of Brooklyn. Easy to commute to Manhattan, but better to stay in the great borough itself. Sue makes a great breakfast and was even very kind to have something ready for us before our 6:30 departure. A comfortable cozy...

My husband and I stayed in one of the two rooms available at Rugby Gardens in October and my best friend stayed across the hall. All 3 of us were really happy with the choice. The rates are beyond reasonable for a place in New York City. Yes, it's in Brooklyn, and yes you have to take the train (Q...

I enjoyed a comfortable stay at Rugby Gardens, and paid a fraction of what I would have paid at a Manhattan hotel. Rugby Gardens is situated close to the subway and the ride into midtown Manhattan was15-20 minutes for me on the weekend. Also, Rugby Gardens is closely situated to the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, and the Botanical Gardens. Sue...

My stay was a whirlwind of activity. (I was installing my child into a dorm.) It was wonderful to come back to a comfortable and relaxing room! Each morning, I would start with an amazing and tasty assortment of fruit, breads, cheeses, jams, yogurt, cereals, coffee cakes, etc. Then, Sue would give me directions and I would set off for...

From the first moment my husband and I walked through the front door, we felt right at home. Sue and Michael were wonderful hosts, just as warm and inviting as the room we stayed in. Bed was comfortable, room cozy and the included breakfast was always wonderful. I wish our stay was longer than just two days, rest assured we...

“Rooms are adequately furnished with comfortable beds, and a robe to wear to lounge about. One of the owners is an artist and there is artwork throughout the house that gives this B&B an eclectic and welcoming flavor. The rooms are up a few flights of stairs, so you need to be able to navigate stairs to stay here. Enjoy!”
