This might be my 5th or 6th visit to the Lodge. I invited my best friends to join me for a weekend of hiking, soaking in hot springs, inner tubing, fishing, relaxing, warming fire in the wood stove and delicious breakfasts as we celebrated my 60th birthday. We even had room upstairs for a massage table! It was everything I...

The Wilderness Lodge was the venue for my daughter's wedding in mid-August. Jane and Dean couldn't have been more helpful and supportive. The Lodge is a warm, welcoming retreat. Our family felt comfortable and at home.

Our family of 32 - 15 adults and 17 kids aged 13 and younger (+1 dog) - was the largest group to invade Jane & Dean's lodge. They handled our crew with aplomb. We loved the delicious, hearty breakfasts they provided, and spent the days soaking in the hot springs, swinging from the trees, walking along the river and visiting...

We had a group of 9 adults and 10 children ranging in age from 9 months to 12 years, and this could not possibly have been a better place. The setting is pastoral, scenic, and invitingly lived-in. This is not a polished, sterile resort property, more like a long-held and cherished family retreat that you've finally been invited to after...

What a delightful experience! We flew in from Austin and treated our entire family to a weekend getaway! We could not have picked a better place! The house is overflowing with rustic charm and has the feeling of home. There was truly a space for all ages that ranged from 4 to 74. Our gracious host went out his way...

We planned an impromptu road trip for Mother's Day weekend and were thrilled that the Wilderness Lodge had a room available for our family of four. The grounds are rustic and homey and awesome. Chickens clucked in the background from their coop while we sat on a long porch in comfy rocking chairs and watched our kids have a blast...

If you want to get out of the mainstream & be relaxed, this is the place. Check everything at the door & have a good time. There is a really slow, wonderful situation here. My room was perfect. I met people I didn't know. Sharing is not optional. Breakfasts are wonderful. Take at least 2 hours and look at everything...

Very sweet spot, with wonderful hot springs just steps away from the very cool old converted schoolhouse lodge. Very kind hosts, lovely breakfasts included, very reasonable rates. Fabulous kitchen and a super-long table for communal meals, cozy bedrooms with lots of beds and extra blankets. I had a wonderful time.

A group of 11 college students, three teachers, and one dog spent an incredible weekend at the Wilderness Lodge in Gila Hot Springs. We were delighted by the hospitality, the food, the kitchen, the location (great and easy access to the cliff dwellings and hiking), and the space to retreat and close a semester together. This is our second time...

Dean and Jane are the best! The hot springs are perfect after a day hiking! This place is at the end of the road and magical. I am looking forward to my next visit with friends. Be sure to see the cliff dwellings.
