The rooms have an amazing view of the mountains past the lake, with the hotel right up against the lake. We enjoyed lounging in the deck chairs outside our room and watching the sun set over the mountains! The hotel is decorated in a vintage (60's) style and the whole area felt like a fun summer camp. Location was so...

My husband and I made these reservations LAST August. After reading the reviews on this hotel, we could only book one night because they were all booked for more nights. We wish we could have stayed longer. We had a room on the second floor which was a little difficult dragging our bags up - no elevator. But, the effort...

We'd planned our trip a year in advance making reservations at this inn possible. We stayed here because Lake McDonald laps at your toes just a few feet beyond the patio. All rooms face the lake. Indeed this is a retro motel & although our single queen room on the 2nd floor was small every inch of space was thoughtfully...

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Glacier National Park. It's basically a 1950s motel (with a few upgrades since that time), and most folks wouldn't care for it in other settings, but you stay here for the view and not the amenities. All of the rooms face Lake McDonald, and the view is gorgeous. We had a room...

So you have to book way in advance to get here. The reason is obvious once you see the View! Picture postcard view , this basic amenities inn is very much sought after. For those who follow my posts will know that I love my coffee. So, the coffee here is really terrible. BYO! There are chairs for you to...

Stayed one night first week of September. Solo traveler. Great location for western side of the park. The view of Lake McDonald and the mountains is stunning. The room was clean, bed was super comfortable, good water pressure in the shower. It was quiet and I got my best night of sleep here out of the week I spent in...

Every room has a view of Lake McDonald and the mountains beyond. One of the best views in Glacier. Well worth the year in advance reservations. The staff was very friendly and helpful with things to do in the park. The room although small it was very comfortable and very clean. As far as I'm concerned this is the best...

We stayed here for 3 nights on the 2nd floor, the end room - I think #91. The room itself was basic, but the bed was quite comfortable. It was quiet too. The bathroom didn't have an outlet, so to use a hair dryer/electric shaver you needed to go out into the room. The shower was fine. I liked the...

Had recent 3 night stay at Village inn at Apgar. Ideal location for west side day trips. Proximity to airport is perfect. While not a 5 star hotel the rooms are adequate, clean, good value and comfortable. As to the view of Lake McDonald and the mountains, there cannot be a much better setting.

Wow, am I sorry we stayed here only one night. Absolutely lovely, beautiful location in a peaceful, unassuming village. All the photos I saw on-line, all the descriptions read about this place, do not do it justice. We stayed on the second floor in a two bedroom unit with ample room for us to spread out. As it turned out,...
