We did not stay at this campground. We have a large rig & were concerned about fitting so we stayed in Grand Marais. However, we did visit this campground so we would know if it was an option. It is such a beautiful location! If you have a big rig, sites 6 & 7 along the lake will work, as...

Gunflint Pines sits right on Gunflint Lake, one of the biggest lakes on the Gunflint Trail right on the border of U.S. and Canada. Like most who find this gem, my wife and I stumbled across it by accident while searching for a getaway on the Trail 5 years ago. Most People stop their search Online when they hit the...

This is the lodging one would expect located on the gunflint trail...no cell reception, no wireless, no live TV, just us and nature. We stayed at one of the A-frames on the lake ( I suggest the same). What was included in our stay (@ no additional charge) canoes, paddles, life jackets, inner tubes, beach, wood for fireplace in cabin,...

My husband and I went here to celebrate our 1st anniversary. We stayed on one of the tent sites. In my opinion, our campsite was the best we've ever had at any camp ground we've stayed at. It was very private and right on the lake. I can not say enough how beautiful the scenery is! The owners were extremely...

We actually stayed in one of the campsites which are spectacular for campers or tenters like us. Each campsite had a lower and upper portion. The lower area was right next to the lake. Both areas were well laid out with a picnic table and fire pit. The area next to the lake included a rustic bench that was great...

We are newbie RVers and wanted to experience the great outdoors. This spot was perfect. We had a wonderful site with water and electric and, since we were kinda new at all of this, our host Bob helped us quite a bit. The lake was gorgeous and we heard loons and coyotes at night. Shower house and bathrooms were spotless...

I can't believe some of the complaints on this page. What a bunch of whiners! If you are looking for a five star hotel or a luxury rv resort go somewhere else. Don't forget you are in the BWCAW! I have stayed here twice and loved it. I have a 38' fifth wheel and didn't have a problem backing it...

Clean comfortable cabin, quiet, Gunflint lake makes a beautiful view. Only stayed 2 nights wish it could have longer. Snowshoeing and xcountry skiing refreshing and so many different birds. I didn't see any moose this time though my daughter did. The family atmosphere is so relaxing andthe food good. If you want something a little more upscale for dinner Gunflint...

Don't stay in A-frame number one unless you want mice(3) in your kitchen. The place was fairly clean, but we found 5 used mouse traps on the porch, in a paper bag, when we arrived. Are we to assume we should have brought mice bait on our trip?? Old hole on basement reveals how they continue to get in.

Stayed 2 nites but wish we had stayed longer. So my much to see and do, or not. You have peace and tranquility or tons of outdoor activity, biking, canoe/kayak, fish, holder . While overused, I have to say, this truly isGod's country!
