We spent Thursday and Friday night at this wonderful downtown hotel this weekend. The staff were so very helpful and friendly. The fireplace on the front porch was a nice touch considering it was a wee bit chilly in the early morning hours. Very good hotel breakfast. They even had pumpkin spice creamers!!! It is a bit rustic but that...

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit. The chillier it gets, the more popular the fireplace on the front porch becomes. It's just one of the many ways to relax and unwind while staying here at The Historic Gatlinburg Inn. We hope that you will come back for a visit soon!

Spent 2 nights 9/23/16-9/25/16 here for our anniversary and had a GREAT stay. The hotel is very old but that is what makes it special and part of its charm. The staff could not have been friendlies and the location is perfect...especially when walking home from dinner/drinks at the Gatlinburg Brewery. Our room had a view of the ski lift,...

Great location on the main strip. The staff was quite helpful and the morning breakfast choices were many. The room was a little musty smelling, but the pluses far out weighted the miuses. If you don't want to walk a mile to everything or take the trolly. This is the motel choice for you. You truly are in the middle...

This is my second time staying here. Wonderful place to stay! Love the front porch and the rocking chairs. The staff here is more like family. Worked with us to go site seeing. Beds was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Only issue is that the pillows was not soft. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Luved this old fashioned hotel only complaint is no refrigerator. Excellent breakfast with waffles sausage sausage gravy and fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Favorite part was rocking on the porch and watching parking Tetris at night. 👍👍

Smack dab in the middle of the action and still amazingly quiet at night. We stayed three nights and can't say enough about this place. The staff is amazing and willing to help out their guests in any way possible. The only issue there was parking. It is limited and if you come in late, it is difficult to park,...

Everything was amazing, I loved the decor throughout the room and the breakfast was pretty good! We had a corner room which had a great view of the chairlift, the AC did go out for a bit the first night, but they got it fixed very quickly! I was a bit worried about the noise level, but surprisingly enough we...

Arrived late at night, checked in without a problem. The hotel was built in the 1930's so the rooms are somewhat dated. For example, the pipes for the sprinkler system are visible when you look up, and the doors use actual keys (gasp!) More importantly, the beds were very clean and comfy, and the hotel was super quiet. It was...

Old, musty, outdated... My husband reserved a polar room, but they put us in a regular room, charged us for a polar room, until we got that straightened out! It's very small, one chair. It's VERY MUSTY and has set my allergies off! The bed is hard as concrete! They don't have refrigerators in regular rooms. Walls are thin! For...

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor. We are very sorry to hear that your stay wasn't enjoyable. In fairness, you should be aware that the bedding, carpeting, draperies, etc. are all new. We've spent a considerable amount of time and expense to update our Inn as much as possible but since we are a historic location, we have...

This is a very old hotel. Quite a bit of history. The rooms are adequate. We had a corner king with a balcony. Nice large room. The room shows the age of the hotel with exposed pipes on the ceiling. But the best feature of this hotel is their location. You can park your car and go through the entire...
