Old, musty, outdated... My husband reserved a polar room, but they put us in a regular room, charged us for a polar room, until we got that straightened out! It's very small, one chair. It's VERY MUSTY and has set my allergies off! The bed is hard as concrete! They don't have refrigerators in regular rooms. Walls are thin! For... More

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor. We are very sorry to hear that your stay wasn't enjoyable. In fairness, you should be aware that the bedding, carpeting, draperies, etc. are all new. We've spent a considerable amount of time and expense to update our Inn as much as possible but since we are a historic location, we have... More

This is a very old hotel. Quite a bit of history. The rooms are adequate. We had a corner king with a balcony. Nice large room. The room shows the age of the hotel with exposed pipes on the ceiling. But the best feature of this hotel is their location. You can park your car and go through the entire... More

This was our 4th time in Gatlinburg, but first time at the Inn, but will not be our last. We stayed 5 nights and I love this hotel. It has the scent of an old and historic building and was filled with old furniture, organ, piano and photos which I love. It had the most convenient location we could hope... More

Room was very clean and the location was excellent - right downtown and close to everything. The hotel was built in 1937 which is pretty cool. The breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. The hotel staff was very nice.

Very clean! We have stayed here several times and will continue to stay here. This hotel has so much history. Everything is well maintained and yet they've retained the historical integrity of the hotel and grounds. I don't know of any other hotels in town that serve a free full menu breakfast. You can't smoke in the rooms or on... More

It was established in 1937. Staff at this hotel are so amazing. We've enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The outdoor pool is so nice, the hotel is clean and full breakfast each morning. Parking is tight and the Smokey Mountain Songwriters Festival has made it tighter.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The first room we were put in was a good room but it was very musky smelling. We went out and purchased air freshener and sprayed the room down but just couldn't stay in that room. We called the front desk and they were very kind and said they had another room that... More

I thought it was pict for what it was, sort of on the old and quaint side in the rooms. But it did have a breakfast, nothing really special but lots of it, and parking. It also had about a hundred bikers the weekend I was there but that probably contributed to the atmosphere rather than detracting from it.

The location cannot be beat. Walk everywhere. Private free parking. Has been updated. New foyer and hardwood. Now offering free breakfast, (typical eggs, waffles, etc. These people go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Beds are comfortable, private balconies with some of the rooms. Thank you so much for your recent review of the Historic Gatlinburg Inn.
