Great riad arranged through Rove Morocco Travels with very clean, comfy, spacious and simple rooms. The riad is located on top of a hill with an amazing view of the dry lake of Daya-el-Maider in the Sahara Desert. We had an amazing and atmospheric dinner on the terrace with a spectacular moonlit view of the dry lake; unfortunately it was...

This was another of our stopovers while touring Morocco. The place is magical. We arrived there after sunset (in fact it was already dark) and were welcomed with tea and cookies. As there is remotely no city around you can, with clear skies, admire a flabbergasting starry sky! The sunrise was breathtaking and I think the sunset is worth the...

This was not normally part of our tour’s itinerary but when we were first considering visiting Morocco we wanted to experience the desert beyond what we imagined would be ‘packaged’ Merzouga. So we requested our tour be adapted (which Around Morocco was very accommodating in doing) to include a visit to...

Great hotel, clean room, delicious food, friendly staff, remote location etc.. Would highly recommend as a place to stay if you're looking to enter the desert from Marrakesh. Despite its remoteness this road makes you feel pampered and looked after. Great star gazing once the sun sets.

This Riad was built only a couple of years ago in the traditional Moroccan material, mud and straw. It stands out as a really unique place, being situated far out in the desert of southern Morocco. The view is just magnificent. We spent one night there late in March, 2012. Nomads in the area stayed on the huge dry lake...

  • Our 'room' one night was out on the terrace - a cool experience.
  • Simple, but large. Unfortunately very hot without air conditioning.

“I think the rooms are quite similar. One big double bed and a single bed, at least in our room, no.4. Plenty of floorspace. Shower and wc in the room.”
