I recently visited The Fern Lonavala with my family, and after lock down which was actually my first vacation,the safety measures that the hotel takes care was amazing I had 2 senior citizens with me. They took such a good care right from the check in till the check out they ensure that my parents were very well taken care as it was a pendemic season. They checked the temperature right at the main entrance also the staff ensures that we were check at the lobby area along with oxymeter,the mask,the social distances were well maintained at every point of time. The buffet at restaurant were served by the staff with face shield and mask and gloves on it. And every request I made either it may be room cleaning or amenities requirements,or wheel chair assistance would like to give a special thanks to the duty manager Im sorry I missed out her name a lady with black suite and short open hair she really took a good care of us at the resort throughout the entire stay. I will definitely visit again very soon and will highly recommend this hotel.

After prolonged lockdown, we badly needed a break to unwind ourselves in a nearby venue and Fern Lonavla served as perfect choice. All the staffs walked extra miles to ensure safety and provide the best possible services to make guests feel at home. Travelling around was avoided and the vast property of Fern provided all sorts of amenities within, although operation has been started in calibrated way and some of facilities may be found missing. But same was compensated by the impeccable services rendered by all staffs from all levels.
The Hazel suite provided to us was well laid and we did all sorts of current activities comfortably from the suite room including qdaily yoga and exercises. The adjoining balcony was a great place to enjoy outside view amidst occasional rains and pitch darkness outside at night when garden lights were switched off. The calmness and absolute serenity added to the flavour.
Food was lip smacking and all the staffs of restaurants acted as close relatives to ensure that we were not unattended. Shweta, Amit, Anil captain and team tried to provide all kind of tasty spreads even in challenging situation.
Hose keeping staffs like Anil, Khagendra ensured absolute cleanliness while making the rooms and they were always a call away to provide all sorts of assistance. Front office staffs like Momy, Arju were always in smiling face to greet guests and to convey message that “all of the staffs were their to take care of you”.
Finally, our stay for 3 nights was eventful and wish all the best to all staffs of Fern Ecotel to carry on with their outstanding services.

The location of the hotel and orientation of the property is amazing which is being run by undertrained staff.

No basic amenities like tea/coffee maker, empty mini bar, hair dryer missing and all basic amenities missing. Towels are fresh. but they have to follow some standards for price they charge. Water takes time to drain. You have to shower in a flooded bathroom

Worst experience. poorly laid buffet with unplanned and inexperienced staff. I sat for 45 minutes and couldn't see a chef or manager taking care of guests. Food was cold. Tables were not laid properly. clearence doesn't happen till you leave. inattentive staff with no experience. crockery and glassware is dirty. Hair found in Baked beans which is like tomato soup with beans as garnish
This property has full potential to be in top 5 hotels of lonavala but they need immediate attention on training of people and good management to run the place

I had booked one night at Fern, Lonavala to celebrate our marriage anniversary. We reached the hotel at 5 pm and then been promptly assigned a room. On checking in to the room, we realised that the door knob to the balcony is broken and the balcony door doesn't get locked. I immediately called the front desk and complained and I have been told that they will send a service guy. After giving a second reminder call after waiting for 15 mins, the service guy came over and after inspection said that the lock needs to be replaced and that will take another 30 mins. I called up the front desk again and asked the lady to change the room for 1) we wanted to step out for sunset and it was getting dark and 2) we wanted a sanitised room and didn't wanted to stay in a room where the plumbers and other hotel staffs have started coming to check the issue after we checked-in. The front desk lady said that there's no room available in the same category and there's extra payment for upgrade to next category. That's the most pathetic customer service that I have ever experienced in hotel industry. After my argument that the room is no longer sanitised after the plumbers coming in...then she said that we will be shifted to another room. Surprisingly, we were then shifted to the adjacent room which is of the same category. Don't know how within 30 mins at 6 pm the room became available of the same category.
In all these tamasha, our plan to step out for a coffee and see the sun-set on our anniversary got spoiled.
I have taken an all-meal package (breakfast, lunch and dinner)...and then to my surprise during dinner, I have been told that in my meal package starters are not included !! It was quite humiliating and there was no mention of it anywhere.
The silver lining was that the food is very tasty...apparently the Chef is quite good. But won't recommend this hotel ever to anyone as they are just the opposite of what a hospitality service stands for.

We resided in Fern from 20th -23rd Oct. Being our anniversary, we had booked a hazel suite room. Categorizing my review for ease of reading:
Reception:
Our check in, check out, queries were handled with ease without any delays. Arju, Onima and Moumy were expert, efficient and eager to assist.
Dining:
Since we had an infant, we preferred having our meals mostly in our room. The In room dining experience was great as even though the menu was limited due to pandemic, the chef and team still managed to cater out delicacies one after the other. They even managed to dish out our adhoc requests without a hint of hesitation. Special thanks to Vinod, Prasad and Samadhan who went out of their way to assist us.
Housekeeping:
The staff was prompt and pro at their work and we never had to repeat anything.
Cleanliness:
Considering the current pandemic, the team did an excellent work of maintaining social distancing, they always wore their masks, cleaned the rooms thoroughly, even the restaurant was cleaned after each meal so as to reduce any risks.
Overall, we had a relaxing experience and we even went on to extend our stay since the service was so impressive!
Would definitely visit again and would also highly recommend this to others.

We have visited this during Unlock 5. hotel is neat and clean. Location is not that great, its adjacent to highway. We kept used plates(as advised by staff) outside the room after the dinner, those plate were lying there until we checked out next day at 1pm. service is not up to the mark. We had asked for dental kit, extra bed which came after 30 mins with several follow-ups. Breakfast was okay. here also service was pathetic. We had to remind what we ordered 2-3 times. I ordered Mysore sada dosa ,it was damn salty.

The service was bad. Flush was not working properly and they could not repair it during the whole stay. The TV recharge was not done and after repeated reminders, it took them 12 hours to make the TV work. They do not serve drinking water at the restaurant and you would have no option but to buy bottled water for Rs100 where MRP is Rs20.

The hotel is very good and with excellent service. They take care of guest in very good way. In this pandemic their standards are very up. The hygiene is very good and well maintained.
Upon arrival we were offered hand sanitizer and also they provide masks, they check your temperatures with infrared thermometer and oxgen level is also checked at reception.

For our first Anniversary celeberation we decided to head to lonavala. Fern Ecotel seemed a great place and had good reviews all over. Before booking we made sure abt the cleanliness and sanitization in the hotel and as they had mentioned it was a clean property with all the sanitization process intact
The breakfast and dinner served was very delicious and sumptious. All the staffs were cordial
