We came here again and again. This place is a tiny piece of paradise. Now even more attractive with new rooms in the backyard overlooking Jemeluk bay. Staff is welcoming and attentive. Cleanliness is a must. Free tea/coffee, those thick fruit juices, fresh fish from fishermen catch. Indulge on the shore under those large umbrella trees. Look the distant horizon...

This was our second stay here this year. The entrance is non-descript but is currently under road resurfacing. Downstairs from the car park is a whole new world! Tree shaded covered eating areas, both in the hotel grounds and on the beach. Lounges, umbrellas and a glorious living reef 4 steps into the water. The sea was clear and mostly...

This is a really welcoming place to stay right on the beach at Jemeluk Bay. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. You couldn't meet nicer people than Illuh and Nengah the owners. Nothing is too much trouble. Very nice snorkelling in the bay and nice scenery in the surrounding area.

We were very unhappy with the Divers Inn and moved to the Blue Star, right at the eastern end of the beach at Amed. The staff were excellent and their understanding of and spoken English was very good. We were shown to a room that had a bad and penetrating odour and they offered an upgrade for the same price....

The owners of Blue Star, Nengah and Iluh, grew their dream of sharing the magic of their beautiful family beach with others. Located on the most popular snorkeling beach, Blue Star has its own cafe and a number of different options- from solo travelers to family. I loved the attention to detail in the cleanliness, service, and friendliness. The air...

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel which has a great location. It is on one of the nicest beaches of Amed and there is a very good snorkeling spot just in front of this hotel, which attracts some people on this beach. We had an upper room which I recommend as it has a nicer view. The...

I booked my room online and the owner was easily contactable and organised my transport from the airport for a reasonable price. The driver was waiting for me and we had a good trip he was a very safe driver. My room was very clean with lovely homey touches with flowers on the bed and in the huge bathroom. Each...

I love this place! This is my second time to Amed and coming back with my partner I made sure that we spent some time at Blue Star. The place is so laid back that it's easy to spend the day just chilling on a sun lounge under the beachside trees in between ambling down to dip in the warm...

Blue Star Cafe and Bungalows in Amed is right at the Jemeluk Bay beach, with no soft, yellow sand, but black, vulcanic pebbles. Never mind, the main attraction here is the snorkelling right in front of the beach, and boy, the word is out. Only a few years ago Jemeluk Bay was a quiet haven, but these days it is...

We stayed in an upstairs room and it was spacious. Loft had two additional beds. Beautiful ceiling details. Large outside seating area with refrigerator with a partial view of bay. Comfortable bed with mosquto net. Super clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cold AC and a fan. Coffee and tea on patio anytime if you ask. Free breakfast was delicious....
