Second time at De Potrek this year, and always happy to come back. Located right next to the beach DP has lovely rooms, garden surrounds and pool. It also is located right where the daily fast boats leave for the Gili islands. The manager Paris also is such a happy, friendly and helpful person who is great fun to be...

We stayed 3 nights at De Potrek Villas. The setting was very good, and we walked from the rooms into the "aquarium" in Jemeluk Bay all geared up for snorkelling. Good with children too... They even got gifts when we left :-)

This is an absolutely lovely little place right on the beach, perfectly positioned for the great snorkeling 100 feet away. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have excellent air conditioning. Each room has a little deck or balcony great for sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the village and the dive boats going out. The pool is beautiful,...

Both the location and staff were sooo great! We could wake up naturally every morning without any noise or disturbance, and enjoy the simple, homemade but yummy sea-view breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. Pari is adorable and helpful, likes chatting with people. We felt extremely relaxed and homey here. The room facilities were too simple. No hot water. But who...

We absolutely love the place - Pari (the hotel manager) is the sweetest and he is doing everything he can to make you feel welcome and happy. All the staff is helpful and will do anything for you to feel safe and comfortable. It is a small hotel with few rooms which is nice and cosy. There is a small...

As stated above. The place is right next to the launching point for most dive shops going into jemeluk bay, so great location for divers. You can also snorkel the shallower part of jemeluk wall from the beach here. Cons: no real restaurant, it's 2 doors away from a local reggae bar - with love music 2-3 nights a week....

Anyone coming to Amed would do a lot worse than staying here. The staff can't do enough for you. An excellent breakfast is available and the pool, although small is perfectly adequate to cool off and "de salt" after a dip in the sea. Free WiFi included. For divers it is in an excellent position. Check accreditation though. Usually PADI...

Very friendly hotel host, clean rooms. Noisy all the time as the hotel is on the road. Village beach with black sand. Not be surprised by some waste and trash there. Breakfast is good. The bigger issue was the smell of a fire which being made by local people near the hotel. There is just cold water in the bathroom.

Just stayed one night @ De Potrek in Amed and me & my boyfriend will miss this place! Our room was just superb! Enough space, a good bed and most important (for me!) it was very clean! Our room was 3m from the pool and 6m from the beach... = perfect location!! The young owner Pari is a cool young...

“No hot water and a small but adequate pool. Hawkers do not bother you in Amed as this is the nice part of Bali. Hire a snorkel and mask, walk a straight line out from the hotel to the water and head left. This takes you to see some underwater statues, corals and amazing fish”
