The smaller one bedroom villas are very charming. They have a great view with lounge chairs out front. Unfortunately, the AC didn't work in ours. They kept telling us that it just takes time for the room to cool down after the brown out. After...More

Stayed 4 nights and the resort is really nice. Recommend you stay away from room 9 as it backs right onto the road and can get noisy in the morning. We asked to be swapped to another room and were quickly accommodated. We were given...More

Hi there, it is possible to walk to some other places, but essentially Amed requires transport to explore and see it all. You can hire scooters from Apa Kabar, at the front desk for $5 a day and reasonably safe to get around. The other option you have with restaurants in the area is that they will pick you up and drop you back at the Villas.
There is lots to explore in the area, so a scooter is the way to go, just return it with a full tank and all will be sweet
