Our booking at Alamsari was a fairly last minute decision, most of the other accomodations were full & that had me wondering howcome this one was still available! Looking back i said to my husband, the room was a blessing from the Balinese Gods! On arrival, we were greeted by Ketut ( the Receptionist/ manager) with the most generous smile, from...

We did a lot of activities through Alam Sari, including a cooking class and village tour. The guides were amazing, and we learned so much about the amazing Balinese ethic. The food we made was also incredible. The staff at Alam Sari is great, and the ambience is green and beautiful. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful hotel in a little village away from the main tourist area of Ubud, surrounded by lush green paddy fields and trees. The staff were all friendly and helpful and helped us arrange all sorts of activities including white water rafting, climbing Mt Batur for sunrise, a massage at their 'spa' and a most wonderful experience having...

I spent several days at Alam Sari in July 2013. Alam Sari has a close relationship with the neighboring village and gives you the opportunity to see the real Bali. A stay at Alam Sari includes a village tour as well as a tour of its organic garden. The restaurant serves food from the garden. Dewa, the hotel's organic gardener,...

For us the reason we really enjoyed our stay was Dewa one of the drivers and who also offers guests a village stay at his home - He is a lovely man what a lovely family who made out stay very special - his philosophy on life and his kindness, for sharing his story on the village tour and willingness...

We stayed here in November 2011, and despite our initial misgivings on arrival about it being quite far from central Ubud we absolutely loved it, and had a wonderful time. It is a good 15 minute taxi jouney, but worth it for the beautiful views and scenery. The room was lovely with a gorgeous outdoor effect bathroom. the terrace overlooked...

Good value hotel set in a lovely jungle like setting out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud (15-20 mins drive). Hotel rooms overlook beautiful gardens and a rock swimming pool. Hotel garden grows organic vegetables for the restaurant. The highlight of this hotel were the very friendly and attentive staff. When we reported a problem with hot water it...

A short drive from Ubud, Alam Sari is built into a beautifully lush hillside. There is an abundance of flora and fauna everywhere, giving the impression that this place has been there awhile and the jungle is growing around it, creating a very intimate and private atmosphere. At night, the sounds of nature come alive, providing a wonderful soundtrack to...

Besides flavourful food, generous pool, hillside spa, and organic vegetable garden, we enjoyed lazing on the veranda of our tasteful yet simple bungalow with indoor bathroom that felt outdoors, and traditional Bali-style four-poster bed to dream away after a relaxing day of sightseeing by foot or scooter. Note: the gym is now a space for DIY yoga.

My wife visited Bali 13 years ago with a unforgettable beautiful memory and has been asking me to go with her again and again. To satisfy her dream, I decided to take a 7-day holiday to Bali at the end of June 2013. The hotel shuttle bus picked us up at the airport. I must say I was disappointed as...
