We stayed in room 1951 which was clean, and had fun retro art on the walls. There was a microwave, a coffee maker, and a fridge, and a decent TV in our room, and the room was quite spacious. The breakfast was nothing special, but it was included and was therefore okay. The little vignette of the travel trailer out...

The retro part of the motel was nice but not as important as the fact that our room was large and very nice. The breakfast was very good too. And the staff was great. We stayed here to visit Mesa Verde NP and Canyon of the Ancients to see the sites of the ancient native Americans who lived in the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our Stay at the Retro Inn. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There were two pillows per person- two thumbs up! The Keurig in the room was a bonus as well! Breakfast was simple but delicious. I was happy to find eggs and granola available. There was a large assortment of breads: bagels, English muffins,...

This is a no frills retro motel. It is a classic strip motel, from the 50-60's era, complete with a statue of Elvis sitting on a bench. The first room we checked into did not have a working TV. After spending 15 minutes on the phone with the front desk, we asked for a different room. The rooms are equipped...

We had room 1966 with Pat Boone over our bed! Our daughter had room 1965 with a Harley Davidson over her bed! A working 1947 tractor is in the yard along with statue of Elvis greeting you when you drive in ! Our room was great. The pillows make all the difference when one sleeps and the pillows were not...

This is a recently remodeled motel that you must stay in if you are in the area. MUST! Our room, 1979, was decorated with pictures from popular television shows from that era. Our furniture, though it looked new, was just like the furniture from the '70s. You park right in front of your room. The breakfast area is a 1950s...

I have grown accustomed to finding whimsical delights such as this on our travels along Route 66 but the Retro Inn was a pleasant surprise. Dating to 1953, the property has been tastefully restored with an eye for detail and an understanding of the needs of the modern traveler. Fun, clean, and reasonably priced, plus a very friendly staff and...

This is a classic old motor inn. Don't expect luxury. That said, the location is convenient to Mesa Verde and other local attractions. Our room (1973) was clean and spacious. It is not totally decorated in the style of the year, but is a decent motel room with a few period pictures. Beds were comfortable. There was a small fridge...

Room 1979 (GET IT?) is clean and spacious and reasonably priced--a top notch value. The place was renovated several years ago and the decision was to give it a nostalgic/ retro theme evocative of the 1950s and 60s, It's a good idea, because the theme plays well against the architecture of a classic Motor Court. The concept doesn't quite work...
