If I could, I would give The Livingston Inn ten stars! The entire home is beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable (great bed and supreme linens), and the breakfasts were delicious. The other guests while I was there were delightful too. Peggy, the owner, was a wonderful and thoughtful hostess.

It was a beautiful property. Our time there was spent with beautiful antiques, outstanding breakfasts, and quality rest. But with that said, the real feature was the hospitality showered on us by the innkeeper, Peggy. To say she makes you feel welcome does not begin to express our feelings. We came as strangers and left as friends. Do not hesitate...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Livingston Inn. Even before I arrived, Peggy helped me to select the ideal room. I was grateful that she recommended the Lake Mendota room, because the views from each of the windows was spectacular: the inn's beautiful front grounds from one window and the expanse of Lake Mendota from the other. I felt...

The home is beautifully maintained, the breakfast was excellent, the hosts are friendly and the other guests engaged in an interested conversation at breakfast. That's the "package" we look for in a B&B. We walked to the Capital Square for dinner. It's less than a mile. The two-minute path to the lake is also appealing.

We loved our stay at Livingston Inn! Peggy was very welcoming, and her cooking is amazing! The home is decorated beautifully--we just wanted to hang out in the downstairs rooms. The garden is delightful and we have never slept on nicer sheets!

Staying at the Livingston B & B was a highlight of our visit to Madison WI. The home is quiet & warmly decorated in the original time period. A delicious breakfast was served. We enjoyed our visit with Peggy while sipping on our morning coffee! Would definitely recommend a stay on your next visit to Madison!

Charming old home refinished with respect to the time period. Cozy and personal. Bedding was comfortable and clean, personal touches from onsite manager/owner. Nice home cooked breakfast in the morning.

Peggy is so friendly and welcoming! Even our 13 y/o daughter was impressed! And we all know teenagers! Welcomed and shown around and given a brief history of the house. Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the sitting area. Went above and beyond to make sure our daughter was happy. Breakfast was wonderful! Such a variety of choices and...

Beautiful historic mansion in a great location near the Capitol and Lake Mendota. There's a path down to a pier they own on the lake with tables and chairs - a great place to watch the sunset. Highly recommend if you're staying in Madison

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Livingston Inn over New Years Eve. The home is a beautifully appointed pre-Civil war mansion that held some historical first’s for the city of Madison. It was fun to read about the history of the home, while sitting in it, sipping a glass of wine in the main sitting room...

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us over New Year's Eve this year and some of the unique experiences we provide for our guests no matter the occasion.
