I wanted badly to not believe that my little hideaway had gone so south.... I'm horrified that I actually had a rat... Not tiny mouse... Rat run across the hall in front of me. The pool is out of order though I think I can...More
I absolutely hate giving hotels one star reviews but it is clear that the owners of this hotel have not invested one single penny in this property in the last 30 years.

I was the one that wrote the review and yes there was a single bedbug. I have no idea if there were more in the mattress though because it was cut open (as you'll see if my review). Unfortunately, with how bad the bedbug problem is in the US currently you'll run across them here and there no matter where you stay..good rule of thumb, when you get home wash everything in hot water and dry on high heat, keep suitcases outside of the house if possible (we have outside storage at my house). While my review did mention a bedbug it was more to let others know the attitude of the management and owner. They could have simply said sorry (I wasn't even asking for money back or anything).
