The hotel was a recommendation by the owner of the Catarata del Toro (also recommenable). The rooms are OK, but the hot springs are very beautiful and relaxing. We booked a package including dinner and breakfast, both meals were good. The next morning we booked horseback riding, a nice 1 hour trip through the backland. The girls on the reception...

Let me start with all the positive aspects of this hotel: the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was of good quality (better than some of the meals with had at more upscale accommodations in Costa Rica), and the rooms are air-conditioned and clean. We had a problem with our air conditioner and a staff member immediately came...

Despite being just off a busy highway, Termales del Bosque was a very quiet respite. The rooms are basic but more than adequate and very clean. The grounds are lovely and we constantly saw gardeners working very hard to keep them that way. The restaurant was very pleasant with the friendliest staff and good food at breakfast (included with room)...

AAA Tours booked the hot springs. We didn't stay at the hotel. If you want large crowds and tons of people, go to the other hot springs on the way to La Fortuna. This place is quiet and surrounded by nature. We went late afternoon and there were only 8 people including us. Hubby and I sat in the hottest...

La razón principal del lugar es lograr el buen descanso y relajación. Si se quiere esperar más, como actividades varias, no es el lugar indicado. Los servicios en general son excelentes, en resumen se obtiene lo que se espera por el precio que uno paga. / The place is mainly intended for achieving some real good rest and relaxation. Should...

Went on two different occasions and was very pleased with the hot springs, nothing fancy but well done, there are pools with different temperatures in a very natural setting. A big plus is that is never crowded!

Surrounded by nature, it is very relaxing. You can dip in a warm pool while listening to the sound of the river, birds and wind. There is a pool bar, so you can have a drink or snacks in the meantime. The attention is really cool, almost all the people working there knows how to treat customers, I went for...

We stayed in a "family room". It was large but had beds that were very uncomfortable and curtains and bedspreads that were at least 30 years old. The furniture was not comfortable and was also very old. We had bugs in the bathroom every night that looked like large ants. The walls were old stucco that had dust hanging on...

Easy bus ride from San Carlos. Rooms clean and comfortable, a fridge wou D have made it even better, but staff were willing to give bags of ice. The food and drinks were well priced, and tasty! Staff friendly and helpful. Hot Springs were wonderful.

This is a cool place for lovers of nature and rustic environments. The pools are located next to the river and down the hill and they have good walk pads to get there.
