My wife and I have been visiting New Orleans for over forty years and decided to return the week after the conclusion of Mardi Gras for a three night stay at B&W Courtyards. We arrived unexpectedly early to B&W but the owners were very accommodating and let us check in early. The B&B is located in Faubourg Marigny, just a...

Wife and I had a charming stay at B&W. Tom and Dana were very helpful giving suggestions on where to go eat, visit, and play. The breakfast was out of this world. A great way to start the day. We stayed in the upstairs suite. Nicely decorated and a very comfortable nights sleep. A short walk to Frenchman Street and...

This was my first visit to New Orleans and I was so pleased with the B&W Courtyards. We stayed in the back carriage house. The room was very quiet; the only sound at night was the (pleasant) sound of a courtyard fountain just outside our window. The bed was comfortable, the hot tub was a wonderful treat after our long...

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at B&W. Dana and Tom are hilarious and excellent chefs! Breakfast each day exceeded our expectations, and was presented beautifully. The courtyards and gardens throughout the property are beautifully decorated and super romantic. My favorite part was hearing the water fountain right outside my room at night, it was so relaxing. Easy access...

We stayed at B and W courtyards for 4 nights in the second floor suite. The room was very clean and quiet and nicely furnished. The bathroom is brand new. It is right under the roof and the ceiling is angled in part of the room and a bit low. The view out the window is to the next house...

This was our third time to NOLA and certainly our favorite stay. The grounds and room are absolutely beautiful and the location of the B&B is perfect for sightseeing (and also for getting a good night's sleep and a relaxing dip in the hot tub!). We would HIGHLY recommend B&W Courtyards for both first-time and repeat visitors to NOLA.

The rooms are colorful, enchanting and comfortable; the grounds are inviting – with water features, a hot tub, and pleasant places to sit and relax. Breakfast was delicious, served in a lovely dining room. Owners Tom and Dana are great proprietors, superb chefs, delightful hosts, and are well-informed about many NOLA attractions. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the...

This was our third time to NOLA and certainly our favorite stay. The grounds are absolutely delightful and the location of the B&B is perfect for sightseeing (and also for getting a good night's sleep). Highlights included: breakfast (Tom was very accommodating to our vegetarian diets, which we greatly appreciated); $2 beer fridge (we are huge beer nerds and were...

Tom and Dana have a great set up with their bed and breakfast. It's really close to Frenchman street in a really quiet area of New Orleans. From our first enquiry Tom and Dana were prompt and helpful with our booking. Even prior to arrival an extensive email gave great information on places to visit and eat, all very helpful....

The place was exactly what I had hoped for and then some. My arrival, although 4 hours early was handled with grace. Everything was very quaint and clean, supberb housekeeping and comfy bed, providing me with a relaxing stay. The hot tub and outdoor area really go above and beyond ...ahhh the sounds of fountains at night...make the stay that...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
