Very nice hotel. Great location. Would stay there again. The hotel was just a block off Bourbon Street, but was very quiet. The carriage house rooms were very nice. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff did a great job.

The hotel was very lovely, and the staff made it even better. It was a relief meeting such friendly and professional people after such a long trip to the hotel, and when I made it to my room I was excited to see that I was going to sleep on a stain free bed in a very well kept room....

We checked into the hotel and were immediately impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. We were offered a free room upgrade (an unexpected bonus). The room was very nice, clean and spacious. It was a little dark but my husband prefers that and the shower was small but we managed just fine. The location was great for...

Going up the one-way street toward Canal Street you will be at least 4 streets back, but only 1 or 2 over from Bourbon Street, making the Dauphine a perfect place to stay. Small niceties like cookies on the bed, a pleasant history of the hotel wrap-sheet in the desk, a welcome letter, Cookies and tea mid-day, a complimentary drink,...

The staff was super nice and extremely helpful. Location is perfect. We enjoyed the many complimentary things that accompanied our stay (drinks at the bar, cold bottles of water, tea & cookies, etc.) We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

My fiancé and I needed a foodie get-away and of course we chose NOLA. City of the best chefs anywhere in the U.S. At least we think so. We chose the Dauphine Orleans because we had also stayed on a previous visit to NOLA at the Bourbon Orleans, another hotel in the same group of hotels. The Dauphine seemed to...

The hotel is overall very njce. It is located only a block from bourbon street, and only a quick walk from Jackson square. The breakfast is exceptionally good for a hotel breakfast, and the bar service at may baileys is very good. Extremely comfortable beds, and very clean rooms. The staff is friendly and will do anything to help you...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
