I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Dauphine Orleans hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Other reviews have stated that the rooms facing Dauphine were noisy, but my room was facing the opposite direction and I heard nothing during the night. There is a small swimming pool but weather...

We are on our last night at this nice hotel in the French Quarter and we found Dauphine Orleans a comfortable, pleasant hotel. We were greeted by the nicest man at the front desk when we arrived (Kerry Washington). He was trying to check in several parties on his own and it was hectic for him not to have another...

This hotel is in a really convenient location on Dauphine St. However, avoid staying in the rooms located directly on Dauphine. I had the romantic notion of an iron balcony on the street that did not work at all. First, it was incredibly noisy. Second, to get out to the balcony, you had to lift a very heavy double hung...

My girlfriend and I were in NOLA for spring break and due to snow in our home state, we got stuck for an extra few days, and the hotel and its staff were very helpful and accommodating making our scrambling to rework our plans that much easier and it allowed us to have a few more fun, rather than hassling,...

The hotel was very nice and in a great location in the French Quarter. Off street parking made if care free and the staff was helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was plentiful. The only negative was the pool. We specifically selected this hotel because it had a heated outdoor pool. The pool was not heated at all and was...

We stayed in the Hermann House and it was very nice. The location was perfect if you are going to spend a lot of time on Bourbon Street. My only complaint would be that our room was not available at check in time. We had to wait over two hours. I was disappointed with the way it was handled especially...

Where do I begin... This place was perfect for us! It was myself and my husbands first time to nola and we couldn't have found a better place. We were tucked away the upper level of the carriage house. The room was a decent size with the most comfortable king bed(Tempur-Pedic) i've ever slept in. We also had six pillows!...

We stayed here with our children (13&16) for a vacation. The location was terrific; within walking distance of streetcar stops and many sights. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms comfortable, clean and a good size. Free breakfast was a plus, and in and out parking was easy to use.

My niece and I stayed here for four nights recently. The hotel added to the enjoyment of our trip. The staff were fun & helpful. The breakfast ladies buzzed about each morning making sure breakfast was satisfying. The grounds/maintenance guys had character and kept everything looking nice. The parking guys, the maids...I wondered where the hotel found all these smiling,...

This was our 4th stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We always ask for a "quite" room and are always accommodated. It's an older hotel with nice, comfortable rooms, a small free continental breakfast, great coffee, a pool, and free WiFi. There is also a pool in a quaint courtyard. It's in a great location...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
