we stayed dec 30 to jan 2 for new years and the sugar bowl- great location and friendly staff- we had 2 rooms across the hall from each other and left the dead bolt on so we could go back and forth without needing a key- the staff walked in both rooms over and over and over and over and...

We may have had a better experience if we had not stayed in a Hermann House room. There is no mention of this on the website, but our room was like a cave. There were no windows except for small ones in the door. The ceilings were also low. I had much higher expectations for the price we paid. Granted,...

The hotel is a block off Bourbon Street (definitely a good thing) and is quiet and well-located. Staff was very helpful and ready to please. The room was large and comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast was so-so. After the first day we chose to eat at a local restaurant instead.

I searched and researched accommodation options for the better part of week in March when decided to go to New Orleans for my birthday. We checked in on Christmas night. All of the staff were above and beyond friendly and helpful. Our room was on the inside and had a view of the courtyard. We loved our room with vaulted...

Nice hotel, especially if you book a room in the carriage house where the rooms have vaulted ceilings, brick walls and beams. Nice black marble walk-in shower, too! If the weather had been more tropical, we would have enjoyed the pool area, but it was cold! Housekeeping left room for improvement; we were told on New Years Eve that the...

Checking out from this hotel in the morning...wonderful, wonderful stay. Quick valet parking when we arrived, speedy check in and room was ready, even though we were 30 in early and the place was hoppin' with a busy Sugar Bowl clientele and New Years on top of that. Room was 3030, which we loved, bc it was far enough away...

Spent three days here while in New Orleans. While the rooms are a bit older, it was wonderfully clean and fresh. Cute little bar and breakfast area. The staff was wonderful and helpful as this was our first trip there. Housekeeping were all very helpful and sweet also, telling us about things to do and see. Only 1 block from...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
