This is a 5 star old beautiful hotel. It has quite a history with many notable stars and politicians that have stayed here. It has two great restaurants a beautiful lounge and a rooftop pool and bar. The rooms are all decorated beautifully and range in size The staff is wonderful and there is always something going on.

I cannot even start to tell you all how lovely this property is. New Orleans grandeur at its finest. I stayed here in March with my partner for our anniversary, and could not have enjoyed the stay any more than we did. I am a local, and am in the hotel field, so I am OCD when it comes to...

Attended a four day professional event held at this hotel. Booking was easy, no difficulty getting the program rate. Everyone was courteous and helpful, from valet to room service who brought ice to the room when the ice machine broke. Room rate about 200, lots of taxes, as expected in NOLA. Asked bellman for dining recommendation, told about the hotel...

The Roosevelt Hotel is a first class hotel. It has several restaurants ranging from coffee shop and sandwiches, to Italian, to a bar and has a roof top bar as well. The people were helpful, polite, and anxious to make us welcome. Our room, while smallish, was lovely with a king bed that was very comfortable. The Roosevelt is located...

Price is extremely high versus Customer Service that you would expect. Hotel is in a convenient part of town, but there are so many other hotels in the area. This one is not worth it. Hotel is very pretty, rooms are nice, staff are horrible

The Roosevelt is located close to the French Quarter and trolley stop making it easy to get around without a car. Our room had a king bed and was spacious and comfortable. Robes are a nice touch. The Sazarac bar is located downstairs and has a nice atmosphere. The roof-top pool has a nice outdoor bar in a sunny location....

The Bell staff and front desk is attentive as always during the check-in process and moving baggage. The restaurant was phenomenal. Everything tasted wonderful. Our waitress Suzanne was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The entertainment was great also. Another mention is the housekeeping staff who were super nice and helpful when we needed additional towels and toiletries. In...

Spent a few days here for meetings. A couple of blocks from French Quarter. Super convenient walk. Great room with a king bed and nice well furnished sitting area. Fast Wifi. Small basement gym: dark. Good new equipment but small space. I wish hotels understood how much more pleasant it is to be in a sunny exercise room. Nice small...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
