I was attending a board of directors meeting; brought my wife with me. Her first time in N.O. Our first room was so small we could not walk around without bumping in to one another. I went to Desk to complain and ask for a larger room. He checked his computer and noted that my group had about 50 guests...

This was a "convention" stop for us so we didn't choose the venue. The hotel itself had a luxurious feel to it with a magnificent lobby (with fresh & fragrant flowers) and nice big rooms and hallways; but we felt we were paying New York prices for what is really and much lower end market. The staff seemed to give...

The building was old but had been renovated (updated) a decade or two ago...rooms were lovely and large and had a good "feel" to them, but seemed over-priced for what you got. Food & beverage costs were definitely on the high side. Good location in walking distance to the French Quarter

Wow. I joined my parents for a conference here over the past week and this was, undoubtedly, the most accommodating hotel I have ever visited. Prior to our arrival we were contacted by both Danielle and Norma (concierge) regarding our stay and how to contact them. Throughout our stay we were able to easily access them through a texting program...

Stayed at the hotel for a week for purposes of a convention. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Hotel faced some organizational challenges. A number of the convention's attendees arrived at once and the front desk was simply overwhelmed which resulted in a long wait to check-in. The in room wifi was spotty and caused some frustration...

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. By policy, the staff have until 5:30 p.m. each day to clean a room. Perhaps they are understaffed. Our room never did get cleaned. We reserved a suite. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the linens appeared thread-bare. Our bill was not accurate when we checked out and...

My husband and I chose this hotel since we are loyal to Hilton Brands. We had a one bedroom suite which was worth it. The place to stay in New Orleans, hands down. Great service, nice people, beautiful lobby, wonderful (and historic) bar (the Sazerac, but the other bar looked great too), fabulous room, all the amenities, and good location. Didn't eat there, but heard good things from other folks. Why would you stay anyplace else?

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
