This was our first time in NOLA and with an Interconteintal. The staff made us feel welcomed and they were very helpful and accomdating. We had a small problem with our first room but the front desk quickly took care of it. Thanks Erik and XiXi for being so patient and understanding even though the front desk was swamped. The...

Special thanks to Ronnell Williams, front office, at check in.. As a platinum ambassador Ronnell gave me and my family a free upgrade to the presidential suite. Absolutely brilliant!! As always, Intercon quality was exceptional. Specail shout out to the staff at breakfast that went out of their way to make my two daughters feel at home. Thanks again.

We only stayed here for one night but everything was OK. Very nice beds and big room. We had a room with view over the courtyard so no noises. Parking is very expensive in New Orleans. We didn't use the valet. Instead we parked in the garage across the street. 30 USD for 24 hours.

This hotel obviously trolls college campuses with discounted room deals. This is nice for occupancy but their security seems to be incapable of dealing with the consequences. As I write this it is 4:36am and there is a party with amplified music and many loud voices out on one of the balconies. Multiple calls to security were not enough to...

We stayed here while our daughter visited Tulane. We have stayed many times at the New York Intercontinental and the New Orleans hotel didn't disappoint. We loved the location which was just outside the French Quarter, short walk to Harrah's and the River Walk. Because it is in the business section, it is very quiet at night. The only thing we did not like was the pool. It is small and the gym looked directly into the pool area.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
