My husband and I spent a week in New Orleans and spent the last 2 nights at Place d'Armes Hotel. We absolutely loved the location. It is basically in Jackson Square so it's central to everything. It made walking to each end of the quarter...More
This is such a beautiful hotel! The courtyard is a perfect place to relax. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the French Quarter, but that also means that it is loud. I read other reviews that said it wasn't bad. I...More
We have just spent a great 8 nights at the Place d'Armes Hotel, the location is very central just off Jackson Square and only 2 blocks away from the high life of Bourbon Street. When we arrived we did not get the room we expected...More
I have stayed at Place d'Armes previously and just spent last night there. The place is in need of a total renovation. I went out early this morning to the Cafe du Monde and had to step over drunks sleeping on the sidewalks in the...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
