First of all, I quirky places, not commercialized or chains so I felt that booking this hotel would be a great experience. Supporting small business is always first on my list. To start with the good points, this place has a great location, right on the edge of the French Quarter and at the end of Frenchmen Street and near...

Do yourself a favor. Do not stay at this hotel. I booked and stayed with you all in November 2016 through hotels dot com. There was hair on everything in the room, the decor pillow, in the sheets, on every single towel, hand towel or wash cloth and there were also bugs flying around the room and dead ones near...

Management response:

Anika, Sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. It certainly appears to have been an exception to our normal guests experience. Hair? Flying bugs? These are complaints we're definitely not accustomed to hearing. You may want to in the future stay in more homogeneous properties, which provide pretty much the same experience in every city. The experiences...

The staff and location of the Frenchmen Hotel was ideal for a taste of the real New Orleans. The restaurants and blues/jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street was wonderful. It was only a short walk to Decatur, Royal and Bourbon Street as well as a few quirky antique/ collectable stores.

the hotel has great staff who are always helpful and friendly. the pool area was great and the decor of the hotel was clean and had a real New Orleans feel to it. The location worked perfectly to get around, from being right on frenchmen st and surrounding French Quarter,

I was pleased with the location of the hotel within the French Quarter. The self-parking was great. The pool and the courtyard were great. The staff was wonderful. I found the room to be most pleasant.

Though this place is in a poppin location, the amenities are less than standard and come at a premium. A smug and helpless staff help create an atmosphere of "welcome to the Frenchmen, sucker!" I've never felt so completely ripped off

Excellent hotel, great location, wonderful staff, very helpful & very friendly, rooms were clean, rooms little small but with it being historical that's to be expected. Hot tub & pool area very nice to sit in.

I chose this location for the pictures and location, and will return next time I am in NOLA for the staff. Every person we talked to in this staff was more than helpful on all occasions. Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
