We have family in NOLA and go all the time. I am a huge fan of the Garden District. Just spent the weekend in NOLA and stayed at Creole Gardens for the first time. I really loved the place! It has so much character, the parking is great and our made to order breakfast was yummy! We stayed in cottage...

I just needed a place to stay for the night with my dog on my trip to florida and stumbled upon this cute little b&b! The staff was so helpful and nice. I was towing a uhaul and they offered to let me park in the driveway, since street parking might be difficult. The room was clean and homey. It's...

The guesthouse is in awesome part of town: very close to interstate access, 1 block from the trolley, between french quarters and garden district. The breakfast cook is phenomenal and they provide a full, home cooked breakfast made to order in addition to a continental breakfast. The room we stayed in was pretty retro, but in a good way. :)...

This is the place to go if you want a no-pretense, personable and well-informed stay in NOLA. The service, from making reservations on the phone to talking in person with the owners was very simple an positive. The price is better than you'd think given the location, you have a direct line with the owners should you need advice on...

The breakfast is adequate and the women who cook and manage the dining room are friendly, welcoming, and wonderful. The location is quite good, being a short walk to the street car. There are also a few bars/restaurants within walking distance. We stayed in the Lulu room and while the room itself is ok, it could use better draperies. The...

Creole Gardens is in the perfect location to ride your bike anywhere you would want to travel whether it be downtown, French Quarter, uptown, garden district, restaurants, shopping, sight seeing, whatever. The street car is also around the corner, if you do not have a bike. You really could walk almost any place, as well. The ambience at the B&B...

We have been to NOLA before, always staying in chain hotels but we wanted something different. We were very pleased with our stay here. Believe what their website says about if you want everything to be perfect, don't stay here. Having said that, it was perfect for the three of us -- me, my partner & her sister. We had...

The managers are super friendly and helpful people. Rooms are cute, clean, and comfortable. Nice, quiet location in the Garden District. It was easy to get to the French Quarter either walking or taking the trolley. They were very pet friendly and even helped suggesting places we could bring her. The courtyard is so cute and colorful! This is a...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
