This Embassy Suites has been our hotel of choice for the past twenty years. The location is great, the staff is friendly and accommodating. My only complain is their apparent shortage of housekeeping staff. We did not receive housekeeping service until after 4:00 PM each day of our stay, with the exception of the day of check out (which was...

I am so sorry you found our housekeeping service not at their best while you were staying at our property. I can assure you that is not the standard in our hotel. We work hard to make sure our housekeepers keep each and every guest room and bathroom clean; my apologies. I hope you consider staying with us again. We...

Housekeeping was terrible! When my girlfriends and I arrived there were no linens in the bathroom. For 3 days there was vomit in the hallways unattended along with other debris from dirt and food. Valet services were very slow at getting our vehicle each day.

After 30 years of not seeing each other, our Fraternity decided to get together back in New Orleans for only the 2nd time on the same weekend as French Quarter Fest. While there were a lot of people, it still felt comfortable (not too crowded) while still being very close to all the activity. Groups of us could have breakfast...

Thank you so much for letting us know about your stay. The weather was beautiful over French Quarter fest and many guests took advantage of eating their complimentary breakfast buffet outside near the pool...very enjoyable! Don't wait 30 years for another reunion...come back and see us soon! Regards, Rone Middler General Manager Embassy Suites New Orleans - Convention Center 504-378-4001

Attended a conference and stayed at this hotel in New Orleans. Once we had our bearings, it was walking distance to many sites. If you want to see Bourbon Street, Riverwalk, Casino, Canal Street you will put some steps on to see it all but such a sight to see. The hotel staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious and...

The location is the best feature of this hotel. It was literally walking distance to just about every place. It's just down from the cruise terminal/outlet mall. There are also a lot of great restaurants nearby, including Emerils. The French Quarter is about a 15 minute walk...or a 5 minute trolley ride away. The rooms were nice and typical of...

So, my family of 10, needed a pleace to stay in New Orleans that would be near the Julia St. Cruise Port, and yet be close enough to explore the French Quarter, and the many other attractions within walking distance of our base of operations. The Embassy Suites Hilton property on Julia St. was absolutely perfect. A couple of blocks...

Room was great except the road noise all night. Our room was on the front on the fourth floor. Loved the hotel, it was close to the port. We rolled our luggage to the ship. I would stay again but ask for a room on the back.

The Embassy Suites in New Orleans is a great place! I was there with 33 ladies named 'Lois' and their guests for our annual 'Lois Club' Convention. We had a great time in New Orleans and we all liked the Embassy Suites, especially the made-to-order omelet breakfast and the Happy Hour. Also, the location is within walking distance to a...

Pleasant friendly staff, good location with amenities and attraction within easy walking distance. Transportation to the rest readily available. Good value. With excellent complimentary breakfast and decent evening snacks one only needs to manage lunch for the family.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
