French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

835 Bourbon Street sounds like it might be noisy. It is not. I stayed in the room closest to the street and slept without interruptions. The courtyard was an oasis of calm in what can be madness of Bourbon street. This place is almost across the street from the Clover Grill

We arrived and was immediately greeted by the owner, he was a sweetheart. The guest house is situated at the quiet end of Bourbon St. I was concerned that the noise would carry but amazed how tranquil it was once we went through the iron gates into the courtyard. We felt

Bon Maison Guest House
It is a lovely small boutique hotel...the rooms are small for the most part but have small kitchenette & bathrooms w/shower. There is a front gated entrance that can only be accessed by the guests. The owner & staff were on site as well & we felt very safe. I believe I saw that one "off" review & also think it was not representative of the property. It is located on the quiet end of the street as well. We would return!
