Neighbourhood
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

It’s the only place we’ve stayed since 1993 and we go to NOLA several times a year! The music, the people, the architecture and the food! That’s why we love NOLA and the Chateau is right in the middle of it.

Dear guest, We so greatly appreciate your loyalty. The Chateau Hotel provides the perfect spot for many to enjoy the French Quarter from right between the famous Bourbon Street and the more locally-famed Frenchmen Street. The hotel attracts those with a sense of familiarity with the old French Quarter and its vibrations. We're proud to represent such a cool and charming historic hotel. Come and see us any time! All the best

Dear Holly S, The French Quarter is a neighborhood that spans from Esplanade Avenue on the east side to Canal Street on the west side, and from North Rampart Street on the north side to Decatur Street on the south side along the river. The Chateau Hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter located only a short walk away from the famous Jackson Square and the surrounding Saint Louis Cathedral and Cafe Du Monde. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. All the best.

This was an average hotel. It was in a great location. Staff could’ve been a little friendlier, did not get told about any of the features of the hotel upon check in. A little disappointed in this hotel.
