Did not stay at the Columns but took the bus (street cars are closed for a month for road work) out St Charles Ave into the Garden District for a spectacular Sunday brunch at this beautiful historic hotel. Served on the porch or inside at the restaurant we would have to recommend the porch- shaded by live oaks and magnolias,...

I planned a trip for three couples here at the Columns. Thank goodness they all have great attitudes! We've stayed at many different hotels in New Orleans, and the condition of this hotel was by far the worst. The rooms were very clean, but the amenities are so old, it was somewhat unbelievable. Maybe someone would describe the rooms as...

We stayed in Room 8. We arrived late at night and were surprised by the historic details of the room. There were 20 foot ceilings, ornate decorations, and antiques. In the morning I enjoyed reading in the sun on the balcony watching the activity on St. Charles. The breakfast provided in the restaurant was hot, cooked to order from several...

I attended a brunch on this past Sunday at the hotel. The bride and groom of the wedding I was in spent the night at the hotel. We had the chance to see their room too. It's an older hotel with some vintage charm, but it wasn't a five star hotel or anything. They said the room was comfortable and...

My sister and I traveled to New Orleans for a girl's weekend. This was the perfect hotel for us. It is in the heart of the Garden District on St Charles Avenue. You can catch the trolley to the French Quarter in front of the hotel. So, you can enjoy the French Quarter but get away from the madness. The...

Second time we've stayed during French Qtr. Fest. Beautiful and interesting building located right on St. Charles and only a short street car ride to the Quarter. No dedicated drive up parking and unless you valet park, you must search out side street parking. If you arrive late in the day it can be a challenge to self-park. Breakfast is...

Fell in love with the hotel from the outside. Inside the beautiful old home was elegant well maintained, and clean. The first floor public rooms of the hotel are lavishly decorated and radiate southern charm, making it an ideal venue for a wedding. Rooms are furnished in period furniture, and are warm and inviting some even have private balconies. If...

I promised the kids a night in a haunted hotel. No ghosts, but lots of character, just ths side of creepy. This was an affordable night with free breakfast. The staircase up to the third floor is faster than the creaky elevator, but it's cant makes it an adventure. The room was basic and clean. Nice staff.

I was with a large group for brunch on Sunday, March 29th. The atmosphere could not have been better; the view and hotel are beautiful. BUT, the service was absolutely terrible. We were there for an hour before receiving our first course and it took 45 minutes to receive our drinks. We were there from noon to 3pm (entrees finally...

My sister and I had time to kill after out drive around the Garden District. Someone had reviewed this place so we thought we would give it a try. What a nice little find! We asked if we could just peruse the downstairs area (it's a hotel) and the old house is lovely. With its ornate ceilings it evoked times...
