Marnie is a fantastic hostess and the Mandevilla is a charming property. Because I was visiting Tulane University for meetings, it was an extremely convenient choice. It's within walking distance! Décor is mid-70s, everything is clean and breakfast (continental) was enjoyable. With all of those plusses, though, I will not return. I was uncomfortable that I could not lock my...

Marnie and Mandevilla B&B were a great introduction to New Orleans. Her home is wonderful. While Mandevilla recalls a bye gone with it's 10 foot doors and antiques both Marnie and her home are warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious with central air and plenty of extra large towels. No problems with WiFi. Our son attends college starting in...

This is our second visit with Marnie at the Mandevilla B & B. We visit for grandchildren events at the nearby Universities. Our son and wife have stayed there many times. The rooms we have all stayed in are spacious, comfortable, and attractive with good showers. Marnie is the perfect hostess with suggestions for places to go, restaurants, events, etc....

Last minute search for a place to stay in New Orleans brought us to this little gem on St. Charles. Location is not bad, as long as the streetcar is running, in March it was not running due to some city work. If you visiting Tulane University it is a perfect location, just a walk away. There are lots of...

We spent 5 days in new Orleans and we really enjoyed our stay with Marnie at Mandevilla. The house is classic New Orleans and the highlight of our visit was NOMA (New Orleans Museum of Art) and catching the streetcar to go rambling around the city's streets. Mandevilla is ideally located for both of these. A good choice of restaurants...

Very nice, large rooms, "campy" atmosphere. Owner marni could not be more accomodating. 2 blocks from Tulane. Highly recommend if you want something different than staying downtown --unusually reasonable too!

We came to visit Tulane University and New Orleans for a few days. The Mandevilla was a great place to come home to at the end of a busy day. The room was lovely: spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the Victorian room which has a King sized bed and a twin day bed. Our host Marnie was friendly...

I came to New Orleans for the first time as part of a wedding party for a close friend. My friend arranged for myself, 2 other friends and some of her visiting family to stay at this B&B. Marnie (the B&B Owner and housekeeper) gave us a group discount and was extremely accommodating in every way (allowed late checkins &...
