First of all, the personnel were very nice. Secondly, our bedroom was pretty clean. Our beef was basically the bathroom. Tiny..two people could not really get in together. Only one sink which the stopper couldn’t go up and down, so hard to fill the basin...More
The cookies always make me smile when I check in to a Doubletree, but they are not the whole story. Tired (exhausted) from travel I was welcomed at the front desk by Paige who was so personable and warm that I felt much better just...More

The staff (including housekeeping) was very welcoming and cordial. Loved the location, too, in that we were close to attractions but not right on top of them. Staff provided great suggestions on what to do.

Harold the concierge was wonderful. He gave us great recommendations on places to eat and things to do even helped us book a city tour.
The hotel was clean and within walking distance to the French quarter and river.
Nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Close to convention center and to Bourbon street, each are only a short walk. My only issue was not with the hotel, but the people (or should I say, kids) staying on our floor. I don't know if it...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

The shuttle is $24 per person and it will make multiple stops at other hotels. My suggestion would be Uber as there is not extra charge for additional passengers as long as is 4 or less people. It should be around $40 in Uber. Feel free to reach out if you need anything else.
