We stayed for 4 nights. Amazing location. Walking distance to everything. Rita had some great information and tips that were very helpful. Frenchman street is called the Bourbon street for the Locals.

We can’t say enough good things about the R&B Bed and Breakfast on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans! We stayed in the Mardi Gras room, her largest, most colorful, and most private room (with a balcony overlooking the patio/courtyard) in the 140-something year old home. Our innkeeper, Rita, made the rules and perks known to us upon our arrival and...

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights at this delightful B&B. It is unassuming from the outside but when you walk inside the decor is beautiful. The owner has redone this historical home with modern amenities while retaining its original grandeur. Our room had a beautiful raised 4-post bed with excellent mattress and pillows along with a large private...

Beautifully appointed rooms in a gorgeous old home, attention to detail, and casual comfort in the Marigny -- what more could you ask for? This B&B, and its owner, perfectly match the personality of America's most unique city. Make sure to avail yourself of the free drinks at the Spotted Cat, and walk a few blocks to the Cake Cafe...

Stayed here 7 night during Mardi Grass. Rita is very welcoming and informative. R&B is nicely decorated, clean and warm. The location is excellent close to the hot areas and very quite when you are inside the room. She is not able to offer cooked breakfast, but there is wide variety of food available and she has no issues if...

We stayed for three nights at the R&B and couldn't have been happier. Rita made us feel right at home and really goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome and taken care of. We stayed in the Reggae Room -- the bed is super comfortable and though it was a little cold, there was an extra blanket...

A few weeks before we were to arrive in NOLA, Ms. Rita emailed us asking whether we hand any food allergies, etc. She was super helpful and really attentive, like getting cups of greek yogurt and almond milk for me. Before arriving at the B&B, Ms. Rita called us to confirm our arrival time and gave us great advice on...

Ms Rita contacted us prior to our arrival. She asked if we had breakfast food preferences and encouraged us to call her if we had questions about our stay. Upon arrival she walked us to our room and explained how everything worked - lights, shower, etc. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Each morning there was fresh fruit and...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
