Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I've stayed at many Ritz Carlton Hotels throughout the US and Asia ... The New Orleans Ritz Carlton is an embarrassment to the chain! The place has a dirty dingy feel and is in need of a gut renovation. Take a look at the courtyard furnishings and you'll see for yourself.

This is a decent hotel but do not come expecting Ritz brand standards for the rooms or the service. There are a few stand out folks but the answer to most questions is typically, that isn’t my department or we are busy this week. We asked the concierge to set up a few dinner

Dear Ilsagues, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. I am truly sadden to learn of the lack of service provided to you. You are correct in stating this is not the standard that we strive to achieve each and every day. Thank you for your comments regarding Rudy. I will be sure to pass them along. Very nice hotel in the middle of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Visited this hotel while attending a conference. Closed to Bourbon Street and great restaurants.Room size was small. Vibrant bar inside hotel with nightly jazz music.

A hotel that has not forgotten amenities and big spaces. Nice staff. Great location. Back door opens to French Quarter restaurants and street views. Pleasant room. No fuss no muss. Enjoyed a superb weekend. Even has a champagne vending machine.

The Ritz embodies my favorite scent. From the moment you walk in, you feel simultaneously at ease and intrigued. The RNOLA offers an old Hollywood ambience, the rooms are gracefully appointed and the service is impeccable. The location is centrally located to both French Quarter

It is definitely worth it in my opinion. However, if you are going to be in meetings most of the day, then possibly not. The Club Level is open 7 days a week and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner bites. You could make a meal out of it depending on how hungry you are. They have a variety of cocktails and wine that are available I think until around 7-8:00 pm. The Concierge is amazing. There are also several private sitting rooms and this side of the hotel is definitely a bit quieter. I hope this helps.

They do have full concierge services and held our bags giving us a bag claim ticket. I am a reward member for this hotel chain and for reward members they offer a later check out. The reward program is free to enroll. Wishing you safe travels.

I’m not sure of the cost difference or if it will be available. I guess when you check in see if it is available and hopefully you’ll get the club level with the perks.

I believe yes. It's where I got dropped off. I'll mention that it is very easy to get around with cabs and Uber, so I don't rent a car when in NOLA.
