Overall, I enjoyed the hotel. Staff is great while the property was very well maintained. A few recommendations to those that may be more particular. Ask for a room that does not overlook Canal St. as this can be very loud - especially on weekends. Parts seem dated, but nothing that would take away from its charm. Location is prime...

The staff is very attentive, the rooms are good and it does the trick. Location is great if you want to be near the French Qtr. Less so if your interests are elsewhere, but you can walk to lots of places from here. The club level does a great job and the staff was superb. Not the top of the...

We popped in here to have cocktails after hearing such great things about their lounge. Byron was working and a wealth of great recommendations for the city. We mentioned to him we returned for our anniversary and he thoughtfully surprised us with an order of beignets--wow! These came with three decadent sauces and were superior to Café DuMonde. The drinks...

The gold standard in hotel accommodations with the added NOLA flair. The hotel is an excellent location. The hotel is all things Ritz. Disappointed in not having refrigerator for my delicious leftovers from the local restaurants. Found out that I had to ask for one. Everything else seemed to be good, although lobby and street access is a little unusual. Courtyard was pretty and employees very friendly.

Stayed here for a long weekend in October and had a great experience. Upgraded to stay on the Club level in the "Maison" side of the hotel, which was wonderful. Overall, is a terrific hotel and a had a great stay The "Maison" room was great. Very nicely appointed, large bathrooms, etc. Not the largest room but that didn't much...

The Ritz New Orleans is one of the most expensive hotels in the French Quarter, there are a lot of options and albeit a great brand and good experience, the product doesn't match the price. There are neighbouring hotels that are as close to the French Quarter that have nicer rooms for half the price. The service at the Ritz...

Ok there were some noises during night, but after all this is New Orleans....... However when the noises wake me up three times the next night, I wasnt very happy. After all I was attending a conference, and needed to stay awake during the days.... I stayed in 457 across the ice machine and en route to the Club Rooms,...

The Ritz, as always, provided a lovely experience for me and my family. The staff were gracious and accomodating. We needed several rooms close by. They went out of their way to make my mom feel special for her birthday (cake and champagne in the room). All in all, it was a lovely stay.

The brand was well protected by the quality of service and food at the hotel, but if I had to rate the structure on its own it would be 3/5. There is a renovation required. The rooms are clean and well appointed but out of date. Which I suppose fits in well with new orleans, where I find a lot...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
