The location was okay and I expected the hotel to have old world charm. I did not expect it to have shabby carpeting that could have been cleaned or replaced without disturbing the charm. The room was small but comfy. The staff was helpful but wished i had known up front that the overnight parking was $43/night. The city is...

Cons: The mattresses seemed like they could use a refresh. I could tell that the spot I slept on was the most frequently slept-on spot (nearest the alarm clock). There was a definite sag in the mattress. We could've used more hooks/rods to hang towels. Pros: Great location to Bourbon Street and Canal Street. Easy walk to Jackson Square. Even...

The check in was easy I got there early we had three rooms but only one was ready so they let us go up before checking in time (thank you). The beds are so comfortable and the ladies did the beds so nice everyday with the sheet tuck in tight I slept like a baby. My room was in the...

I would like to rate this hotel higher but a room and service glitch prevents me. Location was perfect! One block off of Bourbon Street and well within walking distance to all of the French Quarter. The building was was beautiful and classic NO. Didn't use it but the pool and patio area looked terrific. Staff, particularly the bell men...

As an IHG Spire Elite I expect a lot when I am dropping 35K plus points a night on a room. I was happy to do just that to stay a block from Bourbon St in this historic gem of a building. Ultimately, I am happy with decision but feel you should be aware of a few items. The good...

We arrived early and were able to check in right away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice and clean. I had a double bed room and it was very spacious. The room included a fridge, which is always a plus. Overall, great stay and I would recommend it.

This is an excellent location in the French Quarter. One street away from the madness of Bourbon St but really quiet. The help yourself breakfast was good - especially the fresh fruit salad! The beds were comfy, the air conditioning a bit noisy however lots of places are the same & nothing ear plugs doesn't fix!

Awesome location only being a block from Bourbon. Easy to walk to every thing you want to see. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel bar had an awesome band there on the Friday night we were there. The only negative was the size of the bathroom really small, but for me that doesn't take away from how nice it...

My daughter and I stayed there for 4 nights before going on a 5 night cruise. We ended up being there during the French Quarter Fest. It is a great location. Just off of Bourbon St. so although we were right in the middle of everything, we had a little peace. I reserved a 2 bed with a balcony. The...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
