After leaving rude staff at our New York hotel it was lovely to be greeted by such warm, friendly people at this New Orleans hotel. On arrival we were put into a first floor room, which was not suitable at all. You could hear people walking past the window, so leaving the curtain opened would not have been an option....

Won't be going back to this location our first room had an unpleasant smell in it which they blamed the humidity on the management was nice and moved us to another room. Once checked in we attempted to get drinks from their bar , the bartender was very rude we asked 3 times to please explain the happy hour menu...

Friendly helpful staff. My bestie and I stayed here on our visit to NOLA for the Beyoncé concert. The hotel is located ideally and we could basically walk or catch a trolley anywhere we needed to go. Bourbon street is the next street over. As a matter of fact the ST Charles trolley runs right in front of the hotel....

I stay here 4-5 times a year on business trips and have never had a bad experience. The front desk, valet, and personnel are professions and great to work with. Excellent location about 100 yards from the French Quarter. Love the smell of the lobby.

My husband and I arrived on Thursday afternoon and left on Sunday afternoon. The staff at the hotel was very nice. They always greeted us when we returned with a "Welcome back" and a smile. That was very nice. The location of the hotel is great. You walk across Canal and up one block and you are on Bourbon Street....

First of all, let me begin by stating that the people who work in this location, all that we encountered, are about the only thing that makes this hotel fabulous. The location isn't terrible, but is a good walk to the French Quarter, about 15-20 minute walk to the Cathedral area. The room wasn't bad, but the air conditioner blows...

The staff was awesome and very helpful. They made our short stay great. The Aquarium and Riverwalk was really nice. The Crazy Lobster Restaurant was very good. Bourbon St was so much fun. Try the hand grenade drink, one will do it.

Stayed here for the first week of August (2016) The room was large and perfectly adequate. The hotel has all the amenities you want, in the room it has a safe, tv, fridge. The hotel has a breakfast menu - a bar, doing different specials each night, a small shop and a very cheap laundry, which for us travelling for...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
