Great location for All-star weekend and Mardi Gras. Located right by Bourbon Street. Nicely appointed room and staff was knowledgeable. Great breakfast and serving staff. Defiantly would stay here again.

Great location in the French Quarter. Great continental breakfast, saves extra cost of going out. Rooms adequate size. Shower fairly spacious. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fridge available upon request (if available) but smaller than average bar fridge. Plenty of free bottle water available at all times. A block from Bourbon street. Walking distance from Canal and Jackson Square. Only downfall...

An extremely positive experience in every aspect! I would return to the hotel the next time I am in New Orleans. The location, helpful staff, clean room, and the breakfast were terrific. The experience was a plus.

This was our first trip to New Orleans so everything was new to us. We decided to go with Hotel Le Marais after reading other reviews online- They staff was wonderful, they had great insight as to where the locals visit, and were genuinely interested in our day after returning from our day trips. The hotel is very small but...

This hotel is very clean and the staff were all so friendly. The heated pool was a plus as well as the delicious breakfast. Two downsides were that there was no bathtub and it was kind of noisy during the late night hours because of being so close to the bars. However it was still the best choice of hotels...

Dear tesa2017, Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your stay at Hotel le marais! It is wonderful that you enjoyed our heated saltwater pool and complimentary breakfast. I am sorry that we do not offer any bath tubs on property. Due to the historical nature of the french quarter, we are limited with space. The...

The Hotel was lovely, beds very comfortable. Location was great for shopping, walking just about anywhere you want to go. Even with the Hotel so close to Bourbon Street it was still pretty quite. Would stay there again.

Definitely a wonderful location, with friendly people! The sheets were amazing and the customer service was as well. I highly recommend staying here. The pictures make it seems like it's a little small, but in person it feels a lot bigger and is spacious. Pool was salt water and was perfect to swim in, even in February for mardi gras!...

We stayed Feb. 4-10th. Excellent boutique hotel in the French Quarter. Half a block from Bourbon and Royal Streets, although we never heard any noise from Bourbon street which was great. Very cute and modern boutique hotel with nicely appointed rooms. Beds were super comfy, housekeeping service excellent! Front desk staff was efficient. Great patio with a small pool which...

La Marais is in a great loation! They have friendly staff, clean rooms and hotel just has a good vibe. Plus, they do the little things that big hotels chains don't, like offer 2 free bottles of water in the room, and a nice complimentary breakfast (both of which were pleasant surprises for us when we checked in). The only...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
