Location great. Right off Bourbon St without the noise. Restaurants and galleries were right around the corner. Staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had good selection to choose from. Overall a very pleasant stay.

While the hotel is right in between the hustle and bustle of Bourbon st and Royal st, it is suprisingly quiet. We particularly enjoyed the serene courtyard with the heated pool (albeit small) and lounge chairs. Our room was elegantly furnished and looking over the courtyard. Wonderful helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast is a plus. Small size boutique hotel at a...

We loved nearly everything about our stay at Le Marais - from early check-in to our departure. The staff is amazing - unfailingly helpful and polite. Only 1/2 block from Bourbon Street yet as quiet as a mid-city hotel CAN be. Delicious breakfast pastries, comfortable common area and outside patio with unheated salt water pool, fast Wi-Fi and nice room....

Totally enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Le Marais during the French Quarter Festival. Located literally steps to Bourbon Street, great restaurants, fun bars and fun things to do, yet quiet when your day is done. Staff is most accommodating, very friendly & always available to answer questions & give information on places to go & things to do. Always...

We had a great stay at Hotel le Marais! So centrally located, we were able to walk everywhere. Super clean, decent breakfast, comfortable beds. Pierre at the concierge desk is a rockstar! He is so friendly and super knowledgable. We loved being greeted by him when we walked out/in. He always has a smile on his face and we actually...

This hotel is of a good standard in an excellent location and given so close to Bourbon Street is remarkably quiet. The staff on reception were extremely helpful. However we felt the breakfast arrangements were akward and not well planned though the quality of the food was reasonable.

Great location, a block from the hustle yet the room provides a quiet solace. The balcony overlooks the pool, but the building wall view is a bit dull. Appreciate the complimentary breakfast display, very convenient. Staff Erica is friendly and knowledgeable about local events!

Starting out loving the location of this hotel. Then, as we checked in, we loved the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the room was great, too! Wasn't thrilled with the kids running down the hallway at 6:30 AM the following morning, but that's not the hotels fault!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend in April and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a perfect location to easily walk everywhere in the French Quarter. Several fabulous, high end restaurants are even within a 1-2 block distance. Even though Bourbon St. is around the corner, there was no concern with noise in our room...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
