Maison St Charles in a nice hotel about 20 minutes from the center of the tourist area in New Orleans. The hotel itself is OK, but not great unfortunately for a few reasons.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Check in was super smooth. We needed a rool away and the housekeeping lady found us one while we were out enjoying the city. I was told it was very comfortable, too.

We arrived and checkin went smoothly. As we were unloading the car someone ran out to us and asked for our keys. We were being given a different room. This was the beginning of an unsatisfactory visit. In fact, we're still here and because I've...More

The street car runs often right in front of the hotel and stops 1 block distance to Bourbon Street. You can purchase tickets for the street car directly with the conductor. Ask for a pass that gives you 24 hours for three dollars so you can go downtown in the morning and French Quarter in tne evening.
The garage. You arrive at the hotel and drive into it. The valet will pick up your car and park it in an enclosed lot and he will be responsible for it. When you need it, ask for it at the reception. This costs 25 dollars per day. I don't know of any discounts. I found the parking safe.
The French Quarter is not for kids in the evening, and even during the daytime discretion is advisable. Allow me to suggest the River ride on the Natches paddle boat.
Hope this info is of value to you.
