This review is looooong overdue, I'm ashamed to say, as we actually stayed here in November 2015. It was also my first stay at a B&B and I have to say that Cindy raised the bar for all others. Now that I've stayed at other places over the last year, I can really compare. Monrose Row is the most stylish...

Just a couple blocks from French Quarter. We walked everywhere. Cindy can tell you anything about New Orleans you would like to know. This was our second time here. Just wanted to get away for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Nothing like staying in a place with great history as well as style from the gardens to the shops or even the...

I have never stayed at the B&B before and did not know what to expect. Cindy was very helpful in letting us know what to do and where to eat. Our suite was beautiful. Every morning Cindy would prepare gourmet breakfast. When we left for the airport at 4 am, Cindy left us our breakfast which she prepared earlier. We...

Monrose Row Guesthouse is brilliantly located in the TREME area. We parked in front and never drove again, until we left. Easily walkable to the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Louis Armstrong Park and all the fun stuff to do. Our host, Cindy was a warm host and full of the latest information, and makes a great breakfast every morning. Our...

Great location far enough away from the madness, but close enough to walk to it. Room was fantastic, but bed was a bit small and high for our liking. Cindy also really helpful and gave us great tips about the area. Recommended.

My wife and I joined very good friends and family for a long weekend at Monrose Row in January. Cindy is a marvelous fount of information and stories about New Orleans. Her breakfasts are definitely something to look forward to, and served in a room full of fantastic art. The rooms are perfectly appointed, and are total extensions of Cindy's...

I would like to say that Cindy has impeccable taste! The house is beautiful! The experience I had at Monrose Row was wonderful! Cindy is kind, warm and very welcoming. (Ask her about her art, she has some really great stories!) The breakfasts were delicious (waffels with sausages and fruit, and homemade bran muffins with homemade granola, fruit and yogurt)!...

My wife and I visited from Scotland during the Mardi Gras celebrations and the trip was made all the more special by the hospitality we received from Cindy at Monrose Row. Goes without saying that you need to book well in advance for these dates but it's worth the effort. The house is beautiful and a very easy walk to...

My boyfriend and I wanted to stay in a traditional B&B in New Orleans we stumbled across Monrose Row on Trip advisor and it was everything we were looking for and more. It was our first trip to New Orleans and it was over NYE. We arrived to a quaint little house with gorgeous flickering gas lanterns. Cindy greeted us...

Staying in Treme

Neighbourhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
