The hotel is very close to the French Quarter and street car line, but far enough away from excessive noise. However, if you're the type who likes to sleep-in, note that the cleaning staff commences duties around 7:30 AM and the carts rolling by the room can be bothersome if your room is located around the courtyard area. Staff is...

Very good location to go to Frenchman street and The Quarter. Overall friendly staff. Despite non-smoking policy - room was definitely smoked in and in need of a good cleaning. One night (out of 5 days), room not cleaned at all and staff was not concerned. Not on par with other Best Westerns that I have stayed in.

Dear 619Karinh, Thank you so much for writing a review. I'm so sorry that your room did not get cleaned and smelled of smoke. That is not acceptable and I will be addressing this with my team. If you are in the area again, please stop by the hotel so that I can personally apologize for this unacceptable experience. Thank...

Stayed for 3 nights end of November. Had a room on the 3rd floor facing the Louis Armstrong Park. Large room with comfortable bed and very clean. Some traffic noise as the hotel is on the main road but nothing too bad. Breakfast was good and plenty food available. Location was ideal and within walking distance of most of the...

At the outside edge of French quarter but walkable to Canal & Bourbon Streets. Rooms are smaller than most rooms today but clean and well equipped. Easy access to Hopon/hopoff buses. Louis Armstrong Park directly across the street had several neat evening event during our 5-day stay. Staff was extremely friendly & helpful

The Hotel staff we're incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took care of things for me before I even asked. The breakfast was good with eggs bacon or sausage, a waffle maker, yogurt muffins bagels Etc. The courtyard was nice although it was too cold to swim in the pool in November. Room was clean except for one day when a...

We stayed three days and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We walked to all the tourist hot spots and one of the trolley trams ran past the hotel. We were glad that we did not stay closer to Bourbon street as we like to sleep at night.

Our room was one of the less expensive king bed room. The two windows look out to an indoor hallway,so not much of a view. It was fairly small but well equipped. It was clean but had a slightly musty odor. The continental breakfast was good. The location is great, just a short walk to all the action but in...

This was our first stay in this hotel and it was a very good experience. It is a well maintained older hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Because it is located in the outer part of the quarter it is much quieter than many, yet it is within easy walking distance of the heart of the quarter. Breakfast is more...

The location was great, easy walking or trolley to all places we wanted to visit. Staff was outstanding. Room was small but we were not there go hang out in the room so it was not an issue for us. I would be very happy to stay there again.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
