Hotel is in a great location, just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter which was really nice. I had no issues with parking. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be staying there again

When we arrived, the door to the office was locked. The woman who worked there eventually showed up, but very gruffly said "I'll be right back" and continued to walk down the street. When she returned, husband tried to make small talk and she wanted none of it. She rudely checked us in, abruptly told us if we lose the...

We stayed here because it is close to downtown (easy short walk) and offers on-street free parking. There is a private parking space, but it costs 15 USD per night. The location and the rooms are absolutely charming, with old furniture and a touch of stylish vintage. We had a free-standing bathtub in the bathroom and a huge living room....

The location of the hotel was good, near Frenchman Street and a 20 minute walk to the French quarter. On first sight, the room looked ok but after inspecting the room more closely the room and especially the bathroom was very dirty. We requested for extra cleaning in the bathroom, well that didn't happen. Also our tv didn't work for...

It's 6 blocks (ten minutes) to Frenchmen Street, not to the quarter (probably 20 minutes to Cafe Du Monde). The immediate area is gentrfying slowly, but cappuccino is still light on the ground. Gene's Po Boy nearby sells real grease for the locals, not duck po boys. It feels safe and the staff is very welcoming. Given the location, I...

This place is located about 4-5 blocks from the Quarter. If you can figure the bus line (not trolley) there are bus stops pretty convenient to the inn. This was a really cute place to stay and the staff was really friendly. They have a continental breakfast in the open courtyard. Street parking and side entrance. I will definitely be...

We called Thursday to confirm, left a voicemail, no one returned the call, so i called back the morning of check-in to confirm our reservations for room 201. We stayed in the queen and king bed room last year. We have stayed in other various rooms at this hotel for the past 6 years. We like the location, and that...

I chose to stay an extra night in New Orleans and was looking for something less costly than the 504 on Canal Street. Found Olde Town Inn and fell in love. The location is excellent as you can walk to the most vibrant area for music and genuine entertainment in the city, aka Frenchmen Street. Brought a rental car, which...

Booked this hotel as a last minute weekend trip for New Years. Even with holiday pricing it was very reasonable, but our expectations were low based on 2 star rating and other reviews. We were quite surprised with the quality of the room, it wasn't spectacular, but for a 2 star it was modestly current in finishout. Room was comfortable...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
