The staff at this hotel were exceptional. I stay in hotels by Marriott at least three to four times a year not always in the same city. I have never experienced service like theirs. Terrence, Michael, Ms. Vee, Sonni and Tiffany just to name a few. The room was clean, comfortable and the bed swallowed me into it. If my...

This is one of my favorite places to stay in New Orleans. The location is excellent - you've got French Quarter, Harrah's, Central Business District all right there. And yet, it still feels private enough that you don't hear all of the hustle & bustle that is NOLA. Lovely, artsy boutique hotel. We absolutely loved our room - it felt...

Clean, comfortable and well-situated, the Pere Marquette Renaissance is a good choice for leisure-time visitors to New Orleans' French Quarter. It's a very walkable two blocks from Bourbon Street debauchery, if you're so inclined, and just a bit farther to Jackson Square and points beyond. It's obvious that the hotel has recently undergone renovations on the 18th floor, where our...

First, a tip :) We found this hotel through another site first (hotels.com), then found on there own website they have a special deal...if you find a cheaper rate than they offer through their own site, they will match it AND give you 25% off. Well, the rate we found on hotels.com was cheaper so we took the 25% off...

I stayed at this hotel in March for a conference and it has an excellent location and is right near Burbon street. The lobby was a little cramped for space, but my King room was a good size. I received excellent service from the front desk staff and would certainly return in the future!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
