This hotel was in a really good location, also had the trolley right out the door.It is a few blocks away from the French Quarter. They gave us a handicapped room which we didn't need. The beer tokens given at check in were a nice touch. When we go back to New Orleans we will stay here again.

The accommodations were inaccurate, extra fees for what was already paid for during booking. The staff was extremely rude and made off-handed remarks about our economic status. The bathroom was disgusting, there was blood spots on the floor. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and made my friend break out. I've had better experiences with motels than with this location. You're...

I booked this trip for a mini vacation not knowing the downtown area and it is very well located. We could walk everywhere we went and the staff was excellent! I will stay there again. I guess like most of New Orleans the parking sucked !

The room was fine. Some hotel staff excellent. Perfect location! The only thing was on check out, the front desk woman was rude. There are too many hidden fees that weren't included in our price. Also, fee for ammenities and we never even used them. Was nice and quite.

Beds were dirty and blood stained. And then had to make it up myself when requested clean bed linen. The following day now towels and the third day one of our party's room wasn't cleaned. Hotel in good location. No bar though just a tap in reception. Nice feature was free beer token. Though that is about it.

Dear Clair M. We sincerely apologize that the bed was not in proper condition. Clearly we had a breakdown in our normal protocol and we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to rectify. We additionally apologize that we initially misunderstood the scope of the request, as we thought "extra linens" were requested, not that such a serious problem existed. I...

We stayed for 5 days during our first visit to New Orleans and were pleasantly surprised by the condition, location, and staff friendliness. This is a boutique hotel with no onsite restaurant which was not an issue since there are so many places to eat. We were upgraded to a Junior King Suite which was nicely done with updated furnishings...

If you are taking a family vacation or planning a group/business trip to New Orleans, THIS is the place to stay. Beds were very comfortable, showers were perfect, location is spot on, staff was VERY accommodating, and the customer service from top to bottom was amazing. Since space is a precious commodity so close to all the Canal/Bourbon Street action,...

The hotel is more like a motel and definitely should be ranked lower in stars than it currently is. Rooms were ok but bathroom is so small. Could hear everything from the street in the room - very loud. No bellman. Drunk guy was passed out all night on the 2nd floor and discovered the next morning. Convenient but more...

We enjoyed out stay. Staff was excellent with great touring recommendation. Close to Canal & French Quarter. Walking distance to River Walk, Harrahs, Farmers Market. The coffee shop inside PJ's is a plus!

Presently surprised our great this hotel was. The quality of this hotel and the close proximity to the French Quarter, Harrah's, and St. Charles Street Car was the best it could be considering it is not in the French Quarter.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
