Setting was lovely. Nice room, lovely court yard outside of rooms. Use of the actual house was limited and not available in early morning. Be sure to make any special requests you have for breakfast in advance of arrival.

Miss Linda (owner) and her staff are absolutely amazing. My now fiance and I just returned from our second stay here and again could not be more complementary of this bed and breakfast. The house is a beautiful historic property, beautifully decorated with antique pieces, but importantly, lacks the commonly associated musty smell. It is located on a nice street...

We stayed at the Terrell House for a friend's wedding (which was on property). Since we were also using the trip as a babymoon, we splurged and stayed in the King's Suite (SO worth it). It was my first time in New Orleans and staying here, was truly the highlight. I loved the history of the place AND really enjoyed...

I am so happy to hear that you had such a nice babymoon with us! We really enjoyed hosting your friend's wedding as well, and I am happy to hear that everything went smoothly and that you were pleased with your room. You will have to come back after the baby is old enough and stay with us again!

We had a wonderful stay at Tyrell house. We were there with many family members and close friends. The rooms were spacious, well decorated and maintained. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious, linen napkins & placemats & heirloom silverware. Very discreet and attentive staff. They made sure we were catered to in every way. I would highly recommend...

Location was good in Lower Garden District. 10 minute walk to trolley. Number of good restaurants and coffee shops within 1-4 block walk. Loved the outside courtyard and had breakfast there. Flowers blooming even in OCT.

On arrival where given a comprehensive overview of the house, super helpful, and just stunned by the service and really amazing decor and charm. Our room was just splendid, inner court facing in the main house, with a charming private balcony. Bed was super comfortable and being an old home rather quiet --- it was not full --- but nice...

My husband and I stayed in The Gold Suite for 5 nights in October and also had the King Suite (also on the second floor) for 2 nights for relatives. Our daughter lives in New Orleans, so we stay at different B&Bs around the city often. This was a very special trip since it was our daughter's wedding, and we...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
