This property is conveniently located in the warehouse/arts district which has classy ambiance and a modern take on New Orleans charm. Situated within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops as well as the convention center. It's an easy walk to the museums and Garden District Streetcar. It's only 10-15 minutes from the French Quarter. Beds are comfortable with awesome...

Room 413, the ac did not work properly, the commode did not flush unless you took the lid off and manually flushed. We are breakfast at their restaurant and service was beyond terrible. We received cold waffles, the server acted as if we were bothering him to bring us a replacement, coffee was never filled. The front desk assistant was...

I've stayed at the Renaissance Arts multiple times now and was impressed on this most recent trip that they are maintaining a high standard of comfort and service. The rooms and public areas remain stylish and clean. Location is great - quiet, but walkable to lots of interesting stuff. Very pleasant lobby bar & restaurant. Staff is always friendly and...

It is in the Warehouse area, and it is a 15 min walk to the French Quarter, which is nice. It is also a block from Emril Lagasse Tchoupitoulas Street restaurant,...

Located in the warehouse district within walking distance to the convention center and James Beard award restaurants. Well decorated. Only con was difficulty w valet parking which is limited to hotel guests--a problem when you have a meeting there!

I really Love this hotel for New Orleans. The rooms are large for New Orleans and attractive with most of the desired items in room..Pillows could be better - but the bed is great! They have a large pool and hot tub connected ...Water a little cold at times in pool. The on site restaurants are very good quality -...

Stayed here during French Quarter Fest. This hotel is conveniently located near the river and within 15 minutes walking distance to the French Quarter. The decor is well done and you will actually find original art throughout the hotel and even in your bathroom! The location is also far enough off the main areas that its comparatively quiet. The downside...

The curb appeal on this hotel, WOW. It connects into an Art gallery and it is really just breathtaking. Gorgeous property with a lot creative art pieces hanging and displayed throughout the main lobby. I came into town for a Business conference. Our check-in was very personalized and efficient. All the team members went above and beyond for our group....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A historic setting, contemporary style, and a unbeatable location near New Orleans' French Quarter and in the heart of the trendy food mecca of the Warehouse District: all of this and more elevates the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel to an unforgettable New Orleans experience. Our building is a former warehouse, dating from the early 20th century; we've preserved a sense of old-world elegance in our surroundings, while simultaneously infusing a thoroughly contemporary sense of convenience and art. Please note that our restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and we look forward to unveiling a stunning new restaurant to our guests in early 2015. For now, we recommend that our guests enjoy the many amazing New Orleans dining experiences within a short walking distance of our front doors, such as Cochon, Emeril's, Root, Tommy's Bistro, and many more. Our Navigators will be delighted to help you discover the best possible cuisine during your stay in New Orleans. ... more   less
