I stayed here recently in connection with a business meeting. Overall it was fine -- the room was clean and reasonably spacious. Generally comfortable although the temperature controls were a bit finicky. The few customer service persons I dealt with were helpful and pleasant. There were a few things that annoyed me, however. First, a pet peeve of mine is...

I arrived at the property at midnight to be told that I have "good news and bad news". The front desk attendant informed me that was randomly selected to be relocated to a sister hotel. Standing next to me at the time was a friend with whom I was traveling who was greeted warmly and offered a room upgrade. I...

Last weekend we spent a wonderful time in New Orleans for a very special family event. I left my jewelry in the room safe and Davida Harris was an amazing help to me. I cannot thank her enough for her honesty and her ability to help me immediately, knowing that I was concerned. Thank you Davida and thank you to...

Very clean, smells great nice comfortable room. Staff especially desk clerk very helpful. I really liked the style the hotel was decorated. Close to good restaurants and bars that I like. There is also a rooftop pool that I didn't have time to visit but will next time I go.

My hubby and I were in New Orleans for the first time to celebrate my birthday. We had no clue where to stay. We knew we wanted to be close to the action but far enough to relax. This hotel was pure perfection. The location is great! Walking distance to Fulton street and the casino, as well as many other...

The warehouse district is not what it used to be.....it is real relatively safe, easy walking to many places to eat and the hotel is top notch with great staff. Rooms are large, stay away from the second floor, as street lights will be bothersome. Windows are noiseless, which is great, as street noise in this low rise hotel is...

Let's get get one thing out of the way. If you want a hotel that is in the French Quarters, this is not the hotel for you. It is at least 8 blocks away. Having stated that, my wife and I did not mind the walk. We also enjoyed our stay a great deal. Bed was comfortable with a firm...

First the good -- I really liked the style of this hotel. Blown glass and unique, colorful art made the lobby charming. The room was very comfortable and clean, with the biggest closet I've ever seen in a hotel room. The bad -- We had an interior room on the second floor, but when we walked in, the wall-sized open...

Stayed at hotel for a business conference. The service is fantastic. Everyone is friendly and shows Southern hospitality. The rooms are large for New Orleans. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A historic setting, contemporary style, and a unbeatable location near New Orleans' French Quarter and in the heart of the trendy food mecca of the Warehouse District: all of this and more elevates the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel to an unforgettable New Orleans experience. Our building is a former warehouse, dating from the early 20th century; we've preserved a sense of old-world elegance in our surroundings, while simultaneously infusing a thoroughly contemporary sense of convenience and art. Please note that our restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and we look forward to unveiling a stunning new restaurant to our guests in early 2015. For now, we recommend that our guests enjoy the many amazing New Orleans dining experiences within a short walking distance of our front doors, such as Cochon, Emeril's, Root, Tommy's Bistro, and many more. Our Navigators will be delighted to help you discover the best possible cuisine during your stay in New Orleans. ... more   less
