My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. Michelle and Bob are the perfect New Orleans hosts especially if you love music. The breakfasts every morning were a great way to start a day. I want to go back just for the food. But not only that. The Inn is so comfortable. We had the suite downstairs, it...

My wife and I stayed here for the second year in a row during Cardinal Season. Michelle and Bob are terrific! They go out of their way to may you comfortable, wanted, appreciated, and welcome. The breakfast is always great and the conversations are even better. The Inn is always clean and fresh and the rooms are comfortable and relaxing....

Everything about this place feels like authentic New Orleans - a charming home that is beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean. The location is ideal - close to the French Quarter, steps from Frenchman Street and the newest streetcar line, too! The hosts - Michelle and Bob - are just as charming and welcoming. And they provide wonderful breakfasts, too. But...

I could go on and on (and on and on) about EFI and all of the great things but, it's all been said and all of the positive reviews hold true. The location (we really enjoyed Frenchman St.) is amazing and walking into the front door is literally like coming home. We spent as much time on the front porch...

Came here for Mardi Gras as first timers and we stayed here on a suggestion-- it was amazing! Michelle is very informative and welcoming. The house is very pretty, clean and in a great location; two minute walk to Frenchman's street. Can't wait to go back!

I loved this b&b! Had a great interior and very friendly atmosphere. Location is very close to the main area so I didn't have to use my car once. I stayed there during Mardi Gras and had a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again!

My friend and I visited New Orleans for the first time and Michelle & Bob were friendly, knowledgable hosts. The breakfast is out of this world, the room was spacious & beautiful, bathroom was also spacious. The house was clean, the front porch was a welcoming spot in the morning or to have a few drinks before hitting the town....

Our first time in NO and Michelle and Bob made us feel right at home. They were welcoming, warm, and very helpful with suggestions on where to go, how to get there, and where to eat. The Inn is a beautifully kept/restored home with heaps of space and character. Our large room was on the second floor at the front...

My wife and I were in town for a conference and the minute it was over we fled the downtown hotel to the warm, wonderful Marigny neighborhood. Bob and Michelle were excellent hosts and gave spot-on advice for places to visit that we never would have discovered otherwise. It was like visiting relatives. The cool kind :)

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
