My first time to New Orleans. This property is excellent. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were clean and spacious, and location was superb. We would definitely stay at the Lowe's again on our next trip to New Orleans.

This is a very nice hotel, with particularly nice common spaces. It's big but doesn't feel like a giant hotel – it feels more like a boutique kind of hotel. Very very clean and well-maintained. The rooms are not ultra modern but they do you feel fresh and I believe they are newly renovated-- The bathroom was nice large and...

My friend's 24 year old granddaughter was celebrating her birthday, she and her mother drove in from Atlanta, and wanted to do the fun things and spa time she has seen us do together at the Lowes over the years. SO we all booked spa treatments, checked in and the hotel had iced down Rose with glasses, pralines, and a...

Great location, central, but a little out of the way of the hustle and bustle. Staff were courteous and helpful, especially in the bar and restaurant. The room itself was very aged, and not up to standard. Unclean in several places, peeling and stained wallpaper, no AV/Connectivity panel, no kettle, fridge was worthless, air-conditioner could not keep the room cool...

Very nice rooms with excellent service. Good bar and restaurant as well. Common areas are not huge, so if you're the kind of person that like to hang out in the lobby, keep in mind there is a very nice seating/hang out area, but it's not a sprawling space.

This is a great hotel if you want to walk to the attractions and still have some peace at night (this is Nola after all :) ). Front desk was great. There were some issues with room service being really late and I was reimbursed. That was great customer service! Get a room with a view of the river.

Planned to stay at Harrahs's but they were sold out and booked us at a Loew's, a Partner Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised without room and level of service. Everyone was extremely accommodating, we requested a mini fridge for our meds and it was in the room when we arrived. Fitness center, in door pool, hot tub were free for...

Recommend this hotel. It has become my new "go to" location when in New Orleans. The restaurant has top quality food and service. The bar is cozy and has a "neighborhood" feel. The gentleman at the front of the hotel are exceptional in their friendliness and helpfulness in navigating the New Orleans sites.

This is a wonderful upscale hotel in walking distance to the riverfront, French Quarter attractions, Harrah's Casino, and more. Great staff, extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely stop for a drink in the Swizzle Stick Bar.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

“Love the higher level because of the view it affords you whether it is city or river.. The oversized deluxe rooms over plenty of space to entertain, especially the room with the King bed, sitting area with a separate TV. The baths are all spacious and well appointed.”
